• This was one of the most useful FireFox <57 plugin. Thanks for your years of service!
• I found this alternative, not exactly the same, but it works: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/url2clipboard/
• I found this addon as an alternative. It seems OK for my use.

• one of the best Add-ons I use to document sth. with cherrytree.

Please update to Quantum - I will contribute
Thanks for the comment. In short, there are no plans to ever support Easy Copy on Firefox Quantum. I've posted a longer response in the extension listing and the support site but the gist is that Easy Copy was a hobby extension and I don't have the time now, or in future, to port it to Quantum.

I appreciate the feedback and hope you (and I) will find a good alternative soon :)
• My most used add-on, as well. Are there any alternatives to Easy Copy?

• My most-used add-on. Please make this compatible with 57/Quantum.

• This is my most-used addon. I use it for copying links in Markdown and Mediawiki format. Really helpful. I'm just sorry to discover it doesn't work with Firefox Quantum.
• Fantastic! Very intuitive and always works well, no complaints here!
• Please make this good addon compatible for e10s. Thanks.
• Allows you to note just copy information to the clipboard but has great customisation options too

As a bonus, allows you to trim the crap that is in many webpage titles
• Go0o0d
• Works great on Firefox, Waterfox, Comdo Icedragon and Pale Moon but not compatible with Cyberfox 51.

The settings window doesn't display correctly - No option at the bottom to edit the template.

My full report is here - http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=14732287#p14732287

Can you please make it compatible with Cyberfox ?
• i like this extension allot, but please consider adding the ability to copy multiple bookmarks (in a 'folder') via a context menu item rather than having to load all the bookmarks
• I did a refresh of Firefox and it works again! :-) Too bad Firefox breaks so easily.
• Migrating from QuoteURLText, I just installed this addon and it works beautifully.

If I may tender a suggestion, %date_short% variable (gmt_date or, even better, option to customize date/time templating in general) would save some editing effort.
For example: "Donnerstag, 18. August 2016 01:56:18" (dateTime via machine) => "2016/08/18 1:56am CET"

Thank you!
• This is an excellent add-on to use with CSE HTML Validator. I've created a page recommended this add-on (https://www.htmlvalidator.com/firefoxext.php). Unfortunately though, there doesn't seem to be a variable that will return the same HTML source as 'View Page Source' does. Could this be added?
Thanks for the compliment. I've replied on the support forum but just to recap here: You should be able to copy the HTML using %html_source%. Just create a new template using %html_source% and set the Type to text instead of html. This should copy the plain HTML.

Hope this helps and is what you were looking for.
• Many thanks to the developer for creating this essential add-on.

I've moved my entire cache of links over to OneNote, and since then I've been looking for a way to get entire links (title and URL) into OneNote quickly and easily.

As it turns out, most solutions just get the URL, which is far from optimal. This add-on does the job, getting me the entire title link -- in just two clicks.

The only thing I would like to see is a toolbar button to get the title link. That would get it down to 1 click!

Nice work!
• Prefect add-on, but Easy Copy is no more functional after upgrade of my Waterfox to the version 46.0.1.
Thanks for the compliment. I just tested Easy Copy against Firefox 46.0 and it's working for me.

I see you're using *Waterfox*. I've never tested Easy Copy against that browser (or any other browser) so unfortunately I won't be able to give you a lot of support.

But I'd be willing to see how far we can get if you log an issue at the support site and describe the issue that you see so I can see how far I can help you. Eg. are the menu items not appearing or do they not work when you click on them? Did it work with a previous version of Waterfox? Is there anything in their latest release that might affect addons?

• Great Add-on, but can't get the spacing % to work for me - re-installed new version, still having some issues. Overall, however, does what it says and saves a lot of time for me weekly.
Thanks for the compliment and glad you're enjoying Easy Copy. As to your issue, I'm not sure what you mean by "the spacing %".

If you could post an issue to the support site then I can try and help you. On there, can you please explain what you're trying to do and what problem you're getting (eg. a screenshot of what you're seeing or the template you're using).

• freezes Firefox 43.0.1 when I click Options button
no escape except to close Firefox process
---------------------------------------
(added Feb 5)
I made a post at forums.mozillazine.org as you suggested but nobody replied. In the meantime I've kept Easy Copy installed but Disabled on Firefox 43. On a wild hunch I decided to Enable it again. Now there's no freeze when pressing the Options button. A mystery. It will take awhile to see if everything is working normally, starting with zero knowledge.

Don't know if it can help me or not. I've got a private collection of 2000+ movies in a MS Works database and would like to figure out the easiest way to import the IMDb ID for each, a 7-digit number. Entering the movie title at IMDb brings up the URL to the movie with the ID included, preceeded by "tt". For example:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2167266/?ref_=nv_sr_1
So what I need is a rule to clip off everything prior to "tt" and everything after the next 7 digits, leaving the bare ID in clipboard. Actually it would work best if I could insert a single parenthesis symbol " in front of the ID. Then it could be pasted into the database. I suppose I'll have to enter each movie title individually because IMDb usually pops up several selections, but it would save quite a bit of mouse clicking and dragging.

Tried it and confirmed that copy/paste from Firefox into my MS Works database does not work, which was the main reason for my interest. That's not the fault of your add-on but some kind of interference by Firefox with Windows clipboard.
I've tested Easy Copy against Firefox 43.0 and the latest 44.0 and the Options button works in both versions without freezing Firefox. I'm on Windows 8.1.

It may be that one of your other extensions is causing the freeze. You can also try opening Options from the Firefox Add-ons screen (Ctrl+Shift+A) to see if it works from there.

However, the reviews is not meant as a place to help with issues, so please start a post on the Easy Copy support thread at: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=2421905

Please provide your OS, Easy Copy version and a list of other extensions that you're using.

EDIT (07/02/2016): I've replied to your support forum post. Thanks for updating the review.

EDIT (11/02/2016): Thanks for the update and I'm sad to hear the pasting didn't work. I see the review has 1-star. Was that just because of the default when you went to update the review?
• just need an feature.i use this command
%page_url%
%links_text%
now let say i copy some text with this command.
then i go another tab.and use same command.
now clipboard will replace with text in second tab
i want the text in second tab appended to first tab text
with one line space between them.
is this possible to adding?
thanks

edit:thank you for replay.sorry to say that but no it not what i want.hope some day you add such as thing
this can save alot time, when copy pasting
I'm glad you're enjoying Easy Copy. I've thought about a feature to append text to the clipboard but it just has too many things to think about to make it worthwhile for now.

In your case, you might actually be able to use the Copy All Tabs feature that comes with Easy Copy to do what you want. Under Easy Copy Options > Copy All Tabs, set the setting "Include the following tabs" to "Choose Tabs from All Windows".

Now you can open the Copy All Tabs menu from the right-click menu (just below the Easy Copy menu) and copy your template. You'll get a dialog that allows you to choose the tabs you want to copy and once you click copy it will copy all templates from all tabs into the clipboard, one after the other.

See https://sites.google.com/site/smokyinkproductions/easy-copy/options#TOC-Copy-All-Tabs-since-v2.0.0- for more details.

It might not be exactly what you want but will hopefully be good enough.
• BIG THANKS <3
