Does what it says on the tip, I'm surprised this isn't more popular. A real time saver if you don't want to zip.

Doesn't work at all in Xubuntu 8.04, nor in Slackware 12.1 although the developer comments for the 1.5.11 release of this add-on state: "- Fixed Linux bug" :)

I hoped that Firefox 3 had this feature, but it doesn't... Luckily I found this add-on. Thanks!

Great extension! I really hated having to use windows default explorer to browse endlessly to find files to upload, and this allows me to use my favorite windows explorer and get things done quickly.

Thank you very much!

Linux Support is Better Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This Addon works great with FF3 in Windows, but in Linux (Ubuntu 8.04) I can only D&D from the desktop into Gmail. I can´t get it to allow D&D from another folder into Gmail. But, like I said, in Windows no problems at all.

Thanks for this addon!!!!

CAUTION: This extension is responsible for the error "reference to undefined property this[arguments[0]]" that keeps flooding the error console. This makes it impossible to debug strict warnings.

The availability of simple, effective add-ons like this one is why I love Firefox. Good extension, Ruffaldi!

Doesn't work on Linux Rated 2 out of 5 stars

The addon only works on Windows. In Linux there is a standad for drag and drop which all file-managers use, so it should be quite possible to do.

doesn't work good with EZ Sidebar Rated 2 out of 5 stars

still doesn't work with EZ Sidebar add-On:
when you undock the sidebar -
the sidebar goes blank on FF 3.x or you get an exception on FF 2.x if dragdropupload is enabled

WONDERFUL Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Great extension, especially since you can drop multiple files at a time. This brings gmail one step closer to having the full features of an Email Client.

By the way, any way to make it so that it would also be able to copy and paste file into the compose mail browser?

I can't fathom why this isn't one of the top add-ons, it does exactly what it says it does, does it flawlessly and is one of the many things I like about FireFox more than IE.

Incompatible with F30 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

:-( This add-on does not work with Firefox 3.0!!! A marvelous utility has died and gone to webtech heaven.

two bugs in new version Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I found two possible bugs in newest version,
bug 1) if I have two upload fields in one page and try to drag & drop firstly a file to the second field, the file always goes to the first field; this happens on firefox 2.x and 3.0; and an older version(dragdropupload-1.5.20-fx.xpi) does not have this issue.
bug 2) if I I have two upload fields in one page and try to drag & drop multiple files to one field, the files get mass up(some of them goes the first, others goes to the second).
this bug happen even on the old version of dragdropupload.

I use this alot - but causes iMacros to not work Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I love this add-in. However, After I installed Firefox 3.0 I wasn't able to get iMacros add-on working. After some trial and error I was able to determine that the DragDropUpload add-on caused the iMacro to stop working. I use both and don't want to give up either one. I was able to use both with Firefox 2.0.0.14. Is there a known fix?
