Works as advertised. Great time saver! Suggestion: -there should be some options, esp. letting users to choose the default image sharing site to upload to -there should be a reminder telling user to reload the pages for this addon to work
Saves quite a bit of time by bypassing the open upload site, upload file, copy-and-paste link routine, replacing it with a simple drag and drop. Some people appear to have misunderstood how it works: you drag the image to the form on e.g. your forum, not ImageShack itself.
The settings dialog would indeed be better placed in the Add-on Options button, but if you bother to read the description, you'll set things up once and be done with it.
Dropbox uploading is a little flaky, but it works most of the times so it's mostly fine. I'd welcome the option of inserting thumbnails instead of full images, but that's arguably a reason to go to the upload site itself as not all of them will work the same in this regard.
First, It should had a option button in extension manage page that users can enter the option page and change the setting. It difficult to be noticed that users can discover the "drag-to-open-setting-page" area when they are dragging anything and can open setting page after they move to the area and release. Second, it will do nothing in firefox 4.0 after I drag something, move to the "dgag-to-update" area in textbox and release...
Hi!This plugins is great! But now it stopped working in Firefox 4 (RC2).I always see the "settings" frame when i try with a picture, but nothing else (tried with several services). When solved I'll give the 5 full stars! Thanks! BTW, if it matters, I am running F4RC2 in Ubuntu 10.10
Dropbox uploading is very problematic. Most of the times, it cant upload, or cant get the link. Sometimes gives the error "undefined". I hope you can make it better with dropbox.(FF4b12,Windows 7,tried zip, wmv, avi, exe)
Works very well, and is an ideal solution for me since I use two monitors. I usually have the browser maximized on one, and a folder of pictures on the other monitor, browsing for one picture to show others. With this addon installed I can simply drag the picture into the textarea and release over the green button this addon displays. Boom, the textarea is instantly filled with the image url. That easy. It really is elegant, and it works with a bunch of sites - yes, your own Dropbox too.
