Extension not currently compatible with Firefox 64-bit, see response:

"tdebaets (Developer) on February 12, 2016 My add-on doesn't support Firefox 64-bit. You will have to switch to Firefox 32-bit for the add-on to work."

I think this would be useful but I'm not going to change builds to use it, thanks anyway.

That's Firefox 64-bit (the build identifier for 32-bit shows "WOW64" instead of 'Win64").

My add-on doesn't support Firefox 64-bit. You will have to switch to Firefox 32-bit for the add-on to work.

Keep crashing, Have all in one side bar and download manager, but both disable, not sure what add-on is incompatible with this,.

Thanks for posting the crash report, but do you have any idea how I can view it? Also, how exactly does the crash manifest itself?

Edit (May 17, 2015): Never mind; I was able to find the report at the Mozilla Crash Reports website. I think I have an idea of the cause (special characters in menu item's text). I'll investigate this further and will release a new version when I have a fix.

Wow fantastic idea, did you use js-ctypes?

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.6.1-signed).

Thanks :) Yes, I did use js-ctypes, see https://github.com/tdebaets/downloadscontextmenu

Workaround for Fx 20+ (or 15+?) Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Before we get update from tdebaets, it is still possible to use this addon by making Firefox to use old download manager UI. Just switch: browser.download.useToolkitUI to true @ about:config page.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.5.1-signed).

Indeed, thanks for posting this helpful workaround :)

I´m still a fan of this simple yet practical add-on, but the new firefox 20 download manager has broken almost all my add-ons related to it. Hope you keep up the nice work!

Edit: Thanks for your reply. :)

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.5.1-signed).  This user has a previous review of this add-on.

Thanks for pointing out that the download manager has been redesigned in Firefox 20, I wasn't aware of this yet. I'll look into updating my add-on, but I do have some other stuff on my todo-list and my time is rather limited, so it could take a while.

This add-on is so fucking great! :D Thanks man!

If you add compatibility with Download Statusbar it will be perfect!

Thank you for the review :)

As said, I feel that making it work together with Download Statusbar is more a job for the developer of that add-on, although I wouldn't mind helping him with that.

Great add-on, does what it promised to do. Just wish there was support for Linux, which shouldn't be too time-consuming a task.

Thank you :)

Regarding Linux support, see my reply to grkan's review:

Very handy, thank you!
One request though: it will be better to add icons so it is easier to find some menus (open with for ex.)

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.5.1-signed).  This user has a previous review of this add-on.

Indeed, it would be nice to show the context menu icons, but because of technical reasons this is pretty complicated. I don't think that it's really worth the trouble and would definitely like to keep the add-on as simple as possible for now.

gives an error "TypeError: Cc[cid] is undefined" on FF5 ßeta when starting a download...

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.3).

Thanks for reporting this. I'll look into it as soon as I have some time available (which should be within a couple of weeks).

please linux version :((

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.2).

What context menu should the add-on have to show under Linux? As far as I know, there's no standard file context menu in Linux-based OSes as there is in Windows (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong). Even if there was, I don't really have plans to make the add-on work under Linux, sorry.

Never failed to find the functionality I need in FF add-ons. Nice job tdebaets and thanks.

R D is dead on - if only you could use the add-on to manipulate multiple files. That being said, Firefox should come with this feature!

This is a great addon but it would be so much useful if it can handle multiple selected files. Keep up the good work!

Re:

Thanks for your review.
I didn't even know that it was possible to select multiple files in the Downloads list! It seems that Downloads Context Menu currently handles multiple selections by only showing the context menu of the file that actually was right-clicked. It could show a combined context menu, like Explorer does. However, I don't think that a lot of users will notice/use this.

I feel that this is more a job for the developer of Download Statusbar to add this feature to his add-on. Have you tried suggesting it there? The developer is free to contact me; I would be happy to help him make this work.

This is a really handy add-on! My downloads folder has hundreds of files and looking up a file to copy, cut, delete, etc. means selecting "locate file" which means waiting for the explorer to open up (which can take upto 10 sec at times!) and then finding it in the mess of all other files! This add-on makes it possible for Firefox to feel better integrated with explorer, like it should have been from the start..
PS: The author also has a plug-in to import complete WMP library into Winamp which made it possible for me to adopt Winamp!

Good functionality. But add support for 'Download Statusbar', https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/26
...and it'll be perfect^^ .
Of course, if you use DS, you can use the 'Downloads' option in Tools menu for the classic interface of it, for this add-ons functionality to work, it's an improvement but still a bit round-about way to go...
