A very quick and easy way to extend your tweet. Just a simple right click when you're finished saying what you want to say. Great for those who actually don't have a blog (ppl like that *DO* exist) but want to elaborate on something they're tweeting about. Very handy!

What is the point on writing more than 140 characters on twitter? If you want to write a big text, make a blog o.o

The way it works doesn't fit what I'd like (and nobody really does it ...). I want a message longer than 140 but shorter than let's say 420 to be split into a series of continuations posted rapidly in reverse order. For later filtering to get them in sequence after each other (if you have too many followers then they would be separated by other tweets) there are many workable ideas eg. generate a random number and use it in all three updates, eventually followed by a suffix (a, b, c, ..)

Isn't the whole point of Twitter to have short "tweets" that your friends can quickly read?

If you want to post longer entries than 140 characters, why not use Tumblr?
