  • That's funny. I have FF 3.0 and my backspace doesn't work anymore. I'm trying to find something to get it to work, as I find it highly annoying to have to use the mouse to find the back button rather than using my backspace key. :-)

  • Well, ok, backspace is annoying...but if you want to disable it, then it is enough to create browser.backspace_action preference as integer тв set it to "2"
This is hidden optiont that i found in Configuration Mania addon...

  • I am so happy that I found this add-on. As a someone who attends cyberschool and does most of their work online, I cannot emphasize how annoying it is to type a whole essay, go to proof read it, you press backspace to correct some mistake and next thing you know, all your work is gone because you went back a page!
This add-on is perfect because it disables something that really never should have been.

  • Thank goodness for this add on! I was getting annoyed of accidentally backspacing over and over again and losing whole paragraphs of text I typed.

  • This fixes a glaring flaw in the otherwise excellent Firefox browser. Whoever thought that "history back on backspace" was a good idea obviously doesn't spend much time entering information into HTML forms.
