in case the developer hasnt noticed, there is a MAJOR BUG/FLAW with his creation. the minimize-bug has rendered the addon unusable, i have stopped using it altogether and now i have another dictionary addon.

please fix it asap (without asking for $0.99 like the other greedy person that wants money for premium themes/skins)

The pop shows up but kills the parent browser. After i close the pop up, i cant activate my parent browser that sits minimized on my status bar.

As well as adapt it please to FF3 - I'm not installing it 'cause I'm waitung for your update! ;))))

1 star from me too. i experience the Minimize-problem and the subsequent "alt+f4 to close the app". this is a very serious bug, it renders the extension inoperable. it also seems to be skin dependent becoz if i use the default skin, it works a little bit better (doesnt crash FF but will still minimize it)

This is excellent. I wish he write an add-on Dictionary that would work with MS Word.

Sadly no... Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This was an excellent extension utilising the Free Dictionary at the point of the mouse rather than on a new page but now the page collapses and crashes Firefox 3. It seems that the author is looking to make it a commercial add-on - but still point it towards the Free Dictionary. From 5 stars to 1 star. Sadly...

Not Working for Me Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I've just updated to 1.3, but it isn't working correctly on FF#. When I look a word up, the main FF screen disappears/is minimized and only the definition remains. After I close the definition page, I am unable to maximize the main page again. I must use the Task Manager to "end process" in order to restart FF. Anyone else experiencing this?

Update for Firefox3 Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I hope you provide update for Firefox 3 very soon! I updated to Firefox 3 and found out the MSTS dictionary is incompatible, and from the previous comment so is this.

This is a great add-on but could you please make a version that works with FF 3.

I can force it to work in 3 but its very buggy and almost unusable.

Just loaded, seems ideal. One wishlist item: Can it be made to work in a text entry field on a web form?

An excellent dictionary tool! All you need to do is double click on a word to view the definition. But I can't use it anymore until it updates to support Firefox 3.0 RC1!! ... Please update... :)

By Far THE Best Dictionary Extension... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is by far THE BEST dictionary extension out there. I like the fact that you can double click on a word and the definition opens in an overlay. It doesn't open in a new window or a new tab or someone elses computer down the street or where ever! I just wish it would work with FF3 (I just upgraded). Now I'm forced to use another dictionary until this one is updated and let me just say screw this "Opens in another window in just 200 easy clicks" bullcrap!

Super but .. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Excellent add-on. If it could export searched words to a text document in a designated local folder, it is then beyond perfect. I thought the function under Preference "Store Words in Locally Shortcut Key" did that, but it doesn't seem to work at all or do anything other than getting this file DictionaryTip.db in the Firefox dictionarytip folder updated. It looks like paying $3.99 would get me “save and retrieve the words already lookedup.” I’ll take a chance to get it even after seeing the negative comment by Sisyphus on this feature.

Very Useful Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I've tried this and the MSTS-Dictionary. For some reason the MSTS doesn't work with my version of firefox, and from reading through the reviews I'm not the only one with that problem. Not to worry though, Tooltip comes to the rescue. Highlight, Right Click, and select "View Definition". The Tooltip will pull up the definition from the website of your choice (opening it in a mini pop-up window). Can't find the definition with the dictionary? It's as simple as choosing to view another dictionary site. It comes with a large number of sites already installed (free dictionary, dictionary.com, the urban dictionary, wiktionary etc...), but you can also add your own to the list.

Very useful. One of my most utilized add-ons.

If your looking for similar add-ons; I found the Wikipedia Lookup Extension to be very convenient as well (looks up the selected text in the online encyclopedia Wikipedia).
