Reader mode Rated 3 out of 5 stars

It doesn't work on reader mode

Doesn't work on epub. Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I got this extension mostly for use while reading epub books in my browser and ran into words I didn't know. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work on anything on firefox that isn't specifically a website.

I will keep using it, as it at least allows me the option to right click and search the word on dictionary.com but I will be looking for another extension that does what I need.

Add-on keeps disappearing! Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I read that the same thing has already been raised on here. I wonder if it was solved. Everytime I restart Mozilla Firefox, the add-on disappears from my toolbar. I have to toggle 'disable' and 'enable' for it to work again. Such a hassle since I use Dictionary.com everyday for work.

ctrl+click to start work Rated 2 out of 5 stars

could you modify it to use ctrl+click to start the work?

No Pop-up disabling or customization (for Mozilla v43) Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Good and brief. But I certainly like to be able to disable the pop-up, it really bothers when I don't need it. There's no customization available (for Mozilla v43). Partially disappointed..

Works well on Mac Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It works very well on Mac.

As add-on, perfect. As US bias dictionary, not so good Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I’m sure non-American’s want American bias in their dictionary: it's here in Dictionary.com - all oriented to US spelling, place names, and history.

Three definitions of ‘legion’, one of them was “American Legion”. Being British I couldn’t give tuppence for this particular definition.

Pale Moon v27 not supported Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This worked very well with Pale Moon but just stopped when Pale Moon v27 dropped Jetpack support. I hope the developer will consider making the add-on compatible again. Difficult to rate this because the developers never committed to supporting Pale Moon.

cannot access options on Mac Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I use the extension on both Windows and Mac, but I can only access options (through Tools -> Dictionary.com -> Manage dictionary options) on Windows. When I click, nothing happens. Anyone's got a solution?

so easy, yet powerful :) Rated 5 out of 5 stars

just highlight any word and the plugin show both definition + audio

no sweat

thanks for the wonderful plugins guys!

This user has a previous review of this add-on.

Great, but hope for an update soon. Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Great add-on in itself, unfortunately it doesnt support electrolysis yet. Hopefully there will be an update soon for it.

Not good enough Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Can't hear the pronunciation of the word in the pop-up window.

Where are the options? Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Why there's no options in the about:addons , I do not know. Instead the options are hidden in the dragable icon located in the "customize" section. You have to place the dictionary icon on your toolbar in order to get to the options. Overall a really useful and convenient add-on. I highly recommend it.

Pronunciation Sound Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I've been on some websites where a click on the speaker icon produced no pronunciation audio.

Can be useful, but I am absolutely sick of balloon pop-ups covering text when I am typing and highlight a word for correction. Where are the options for this extension? Or please, at least, offer the option to exclude text entry boxes.

Loving it! Wish it would be recursive.. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thanks for your great work! It would also be great to lookup words on a pop-up bubble, to keep me in a loop :) seriously

OPTIONS OPTIONS OPTIONS Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Instead of double-clicking on a word to highlight it and pop up the definition, I WISH there was a key to hold down option. It really is a time waster having to close pop up balloon windows of definitions you don't want when editing comments etc. OPTIONS OPTIONS OPTIONS.

Make it work on docs file Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Please make it work when I open docs file (PDF, Word) via google doc viewer or via browser itself.

Right now, the add-ons only can work in a HTML page.
So, is it possible to make it happen?

Thanks
