- by Firefox user 14255156, 7 days agoRated 3 out of 5It isn't much faster than right clicking, selecting "search google for..." and clicking the first online dictionary that pops up. I don't like extensions cluttering up my toolbar, so if I want to look up a definition I have to move the mouse across the screen and open the overflow menu before clicking the icon, which removes all the convenience of it. If the extension had a button in the context menu to open the popup it'd be perfect because you'd just need to double click, right click, and left click with very little space between each. While only a minor nitpick, the slightest (in)convenience goes a long way with an extension as simple as this
Developer responseposted 7 days agoHi there, we do appreciate your feedback although it is actually much faster and easier to use our plugin. A
ll that is required is to highlight the word in question and click on the plugin icon on the toolbar -- that's it! A list of definitions will return back and get displayed on the plugin's popup. No need to navigate through websites whatsoever, and you're staying on the page you've been at.
We hope you'll give it a try, see how simple and efficient it is, and consider updating your score...
- by k3tonan, 2 years agoRated 4 out of 5I gave it four stars for the following reasons:
-the name of extensions is far to long at least over 45+ characters long.
-I have to deal with scroll bars. While doing a test search (e.g. multilingual) the "... and 6 more »" was far off to the side I had to use scroll bar to see it. Note: this only occurs if pinned to Overflow. If it's not I get a slight scroll bar. It's almost like the gray bar where that highlights the Powered by . This issue occurs with an of the extensions.
I wanted them in the Overflow due to its just another set of add-ons taking over my toolbar.
While tucking them away in Overflow you see the long strand as in the image for all of the extensions.
Also the pop-up window for is cut off
Developer responseposted 2 years agoHey k3tonan, we truly appreciate your feedback!
Can you please elaborate more on the extension name problem? How 'Definitions.net' is over 45+ characters long exactly?
