This addon totally screwed up firefox's magnification. It no longer zooms evenly when you zoom.... even after I uninstalled the addon and reinstalled firefox! I am very angry. I don't know how to restore firefox's behaviour.

I got it to remember my default zoom level, but the "auto fit to window width" didn't work.

Very nice work. I agree that this is better than NoSquint -- not least because NoSquint doesn't even work with recent versions of Firefox!

However, there's only one drawback I've found so far:

Because it intercepts Command-, (Command-Comma) as the shortcut for "reduce", this means you can no longer use this key combination to access Preferences.

To the author: in case you're not a Mac user, this is the standard Preferences hotkey in all native (or well-ported) OS X apps. Is there any chance you could let Mac users choose a different shortcut?

Or alternatively, if you used Ctrl on all platforms (instead of the platform-default accelerator key), then it wouldn't risk clashing with *any* OS X shortcuts. (Is this even possible?)

Thanks! :-)

better than nosquint. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Although the author recommends Nosquint, i say balls to that. Nosquint causes a memory leak in firefox when opening many tabs.

Default full zoom, does not, and works well.
Definitely needs an update for 3.6a though.

auto fit doesn't work automatically, i must click everytime on fit to window from statusbar, very annoying! but otherwise, very good add-on, useful to set it with 150% for big monitor and elder users with eye problems.

Having vision problems mean I frequently zoom up sites to be quite large and this often "breaks" the layout. The Default FullZoom Level toolbar buttons mean I can switch between Text-only zooming and Page zooming easily with the mouse and the fact it remembers which I've used for each site (and at what level) makes web page viewing much easier.

Good addon, two problems... Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Great addon... absolutely crucial concept for people who switch between different sized monitors, that's for sure.

The only problems are these:
1) Every time it reloads the page or redoes the fit to page, it just goes down 5%. First, that doesn't seem to make much sense (for me to click fit to page again and just have it go down 5%), but it becomes a problem when you open another instance of the domain on a new tab or something similar, the page just keeps shrinking by 5% each time for no good reason. So when you're navigating through a site, it keeps shrinking.

2) It doesn't work with UltraMon very well. When you hit the UltraMon button that switches the window back and forth between your monitors, it doesn't really register with this addon that the window size got bigger, and it doesn't size up.

5 star idea, 4 stars for the needlessly shrinking pages.

Great add on. Thanks!

I am having one prob: I have to resize each tab I am in in order for it to automatically adjust. Other than that, perfect!

The right click function (switch between text zoom and full zoom) is corrupted. Zoom preference would change, but T/F icon remain the same. I am using firefox 3.1b1

I was looking for a tiny plugin that just shows current zoom level of the page in bottom left corner. Eventually this one does exactly what I want! Excellent! Thanks.

Essential Viewing! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I test lots and LOTS of extensions ... (currently 139, to give you some idea). Very few make the grade and stay installed. Default Full Zoom Level will though - My browser space is taken up with so many of the essential multiple sidebars, toolbars, statusbars, RSS feeds and so on, that I need in order to research, take notes, scrapbook, highlight, link to citations and references, find related information, communicate and so on that there's almost no room left to see the actual content! ... Default Full Zoom level sorts that issue out for me, making it possible to have all the necessary information management tools in view at all times, whilst still being able to see the information they're designed to help me make effective use of. Thankyou VERY much! Default Full Zoom Level is essential viewing ... Quite literally!

This is the single biggest improvement in Firefox. I have now switched. Well designed, thought out and stable. I now am able to recommend Firefox to friends. Thanks for finally catching up to IE with this critical enhancement.
