Best in erth
It doesn't matter it cleans a frequent sites from default new tab page. It just doesn't work.
Not the extension but the "underlaying" site. Anyone free to go there and to add a new search in the searchbox menu, it'll work almost the same, i.e. no any word-cloud etc.
just showed me some bars with progress circles.
I already submitted an error report to Deeper Web, but the email was returned!! What's up, guys?
DeeperWeb is working without any glitches on FF40 running on Windows 10. I have had no conflicts with other add-ons so far. It is simple to use. You just search on google and it loads in a sidebar on the right of your Google Search. It presents a cloud for you to choose either key words or short phrases to hone in on the information you want. My favorite feature is the ability, in the sidebar itself, to do refined searches for the search term. For example, you can confine your search to only blogs and those returns will load in a search window in the DeeperWeb side bar. Your original returns from across the web remain in the main Google search window. The customized searches include News, Answers, Resources, Blogs, Metrics and Wikipedia. I use this program many times a day. If you have older school or college students in your family, this is an essential add-on for their research papers and school reports. This is going into my "can't live without" add-ons list.
This is really good, thanks a lot.
Hi.I used it to find relevant info about a specific search.
I am very pleased that this addon shows results in different groups like news, wiki search, metrics search, answers search etc groups without distracion.
This add-on hijacks a new tab without warning, making my start page inacessible. Luckily, one can configure away this misbehavior by deselecting the corresponding option.
DeeperWeb installs itself as a search engine, too, thus one can choose it as the default search engine.
But the results in the tag cloud are worse than those in the corresponding Google result list. For example, if one searches for the word 'reperformance' (an audit technique), the tag cloud is filled with words which accompany the word 'performance'.
In my opinion, DeeperWeb would profit from being able to do all searches by enclosing the searched word in double quotes, as in "reperformance". (With that, the tag list contains the tag 'audit'.) DeeperWeb should offer that as an (dynamic) option.
Works perfectly on OSX Mavericks. And I would be lost without it!! -- There's also a search widget on the DeeperWeb site that is useful. Try it!! -- I'm using NoScript too, with NO problems.
The whole thing is awesome, productive and a great conceptual instruction on the algorithm adventures of the search pathways.
Would that it had the option of personalization! I want to make choices like with the old Googler so I can have it (the search results) my way
When I started to use this awsome tool, I felt the power of internet at my finger tips once again. DeeperWeb is one of the best "all-in" toolbars i have ever used, i definately recommend it to students and users alike --on the look for full variety of freshly updated web resorces
Thank you for creating DeeperWeb for Google!
Good power tool helps in deep, thematic, selective search at the best but need practice and never go back
I am using v16 of the Firefox browser. I am using Deeper web as it gives me better search results than Google alone. However I noticed that the Deeper Cloud integration is not working fully in Firefox, you can't refine/remove search results using the cloud words. The function works fine on the DeeperWeb web site but it is not working from the Firefox plugin.
Can the developers please confirm whether this is a bug, if yes any chances to fix it? Keep up the good work, it's an amazing product.
This is a great concept and the best execution we've seen so far but often times the search suggestions are too generic or general to matter. I wish users were able to add/exclude the possibility of certain words appearing in the cloud.
When you don't get a bunch of bad hits, it's automated brainstorming,
With FF16 or 17 I couldn't get the tags to work on Google's site but I can on Deeper Web. Just another little thing that impairs functionality.
Keep up to good work!
I really like the look of this so far, it's just my kind of add-on.
However, it only seems to appear when I search from the Google search page... I mean, it doesn't appear in the Google Results page if I go there via the address bar or context menu search.
Is this just the way it is, or have I missed a setting somewhere?
As a writer/researcher a great resource. Creative research isn't often direct, but it still needs clarity and not clutter. Deeper Web has saved me about 1000 years of digging through crapola and balderdash. Thank you much!
A very useful addon (especially its Tag Cloud).
Can you please add and option to choose whether the DeeperWeb pane shows on the right side or on the left side ?
Such a huge time saver for me and I would like to say THANK YOU!!!
I cannot comment on the functionality, But as soon as I restarted I noticed it had Hijacked my New Tabs and was showing me ads.
Not interested in extra ads thanks.
Sorry to hear you are not interested in our invitation to trying out our free amazing networking tool - you can simply click on "thanks, I'm not interested" on the right hand side and you'll never see the invitation again.
I believe there is a difference between an invitation to try out an additional free tool from the same development team, and an ad which is offering to sell you something not connected to the same producer as well as include a payment.
Very usefull addon ! Used in my work as researcher, Give easy access, likely links and additional information to the search query
Nice add-on, but it could be more valuable. First it woult be helpful to have an option to define a list of words, which are not shown in the wordcloud but not excluded from search (e.g. in german language: der, die, das, ist, etc.) and second to have an option to change the number of words building a phrase. In german language there is often a combination of a noun and its article, so the phrases don't realy show different results compared to the wordcloud.
Make sure to turn of HTTP-Everywhere for the Google API for this to work. Otherwise, you'll get the spinning-wheel.
Edit: sorry about the duplicate post. Admin, please delete.
The Add-on of all Add-on's Brilliant.....Happy Day's.
