If you've ever had to double click the Windows system tray clock in order to get a quick calendar, then this is the extension for you!
This extension will add the current date/time to a small pane in your statusbar. You can then click the date and a calendar will pop up, where you can scroll through months or years looking for the date you're interested in. When you click a date in the calendar, it will be displayed in a handy text box which then allows you to copy it out for whatever purpose.

Note to Mac users, the 'Help' (?) button on the calendar is meant to say 'Today' will look into fixing this for next release.
The 'ok' button on the options page is missing meaning you cannot change the format. I will try and fix this for the next release.
In the meantime, you will be able to work around it by changing a setting on firefox's 'about:config' page. If you type 'browser.preferences.instantApply' into the filter, and change the value to false, you will then find the 'ok' button appears correctly on the options.
