I'm facing this issue since I got into FF v20+
I tried to uninstall/reinstall plus resetting settings to defaults but the same thing, it searches for local history entries!
Please help :(
I use this extension solely for the keyword site search feature. It seems to have stopped working with FF v25. I'm on Ubuntu 13.10. The result is just a google seach for the keyword with the search item.
I give it a one star and that is only because there is no zero star. The reason. Eliminates found link security checks before clicking on the link. When I search directly in Google at least one of my Firefox security add-ons will rate the found results. They have been warned me about many malware infested websites over the years. Cyber "insecure" Search does not do this. It is as bad as using Chrome on Android. Yuk
"Still having a problem? Some user had problems yesterday getting our thumbnails after updating the server certificate."
Nah, just checked (I switched to SearchPreview 6.4 for one day) and CyberSearch thumbnails works again - I like your thumbnails far better. Thank you!

the best finder
One of the most usefull extensions I have tried so far. I almost use it daily to search some stuff
It's a bit slow. If you just want to get into a site you frequently visit, this extension makes it slower. I expect it to show me regular suggestions (from history&bookmarks) immediately and search result when they are available. It can be annoying like this.
thx m8 :)
Works ok. Fast and easy to use. searching is much easier with it.
In one word: invaluable! It makes searching the web easy and efficient, and doesn't intrude on other aspects of browsing. You won't feel its existence when you don't need it, but once you start typing your search in the Awesomebar, the magic begins!
Try it, really, and you will forget that Firefox existed without it one day.
Great addon! The only thing I don't understand, is why this functionality is not part of the standard features of firefox.
Its the best among all add-ons which i use coz it increases your surfing speed. We use a lot of softwares for that but at the end of the day u find this add-on the most helpful as it eliminates the time taken to open a homepage of a site and then search for smthng, rather it directly searches a keyword in a page without even typing the full address of the webpage.U just need to type a keyword which is user customized like g for google or y for youtube or w for wikipedia or whatever u like. So just type “y firefox” and u can get all firefox videos in youtube. It also has an option to select the default search engine using which u can eliminate the use of google hompage. So let’s say u can get the best customized search engine in ur address bar itself.
I was too harsh in my previous review. Google Suggestions do take ton of bandwidth and it is not fault of this extension. Also it is possible to switch to Bing Suggestions, but you have to do it manually in about:config . So lets see how it goes from now on.
great add on, for quick search
very useful extension.
But, there is a big bug.
In the instruction of this addon, you mentioned "search mutiple sites simutaenously", but i tried with all kinds of measures in line with the instruction and several different sites, it never works.
The addon is great!
But in the last version 2.3.4 there is the superfluous file "chrome\helper_Overlay.js.bak".
And in the file "chrome\helper_Overlay.js.bak" there is superfluous code:
line 1041 attributionTag.innerHTML = "This page has been processed by the Firefox addon CyberSearch.";
This string is displayed on the page: http://maps.yandex.ru/
See the screenshot: http://s51.radikal.ru/i131/1111/98/7b2149af5739.png
Thanks. I have now removed the file in the 2.3.4 so this bug shouldnt be existing anymore.
Great idea and no other extension I can find has the same functionality. But Google results are not always accurate, ie the 10 results I get in cybersearch don't match the results if I do a Google search. Also, seems to create quite a lag when searching from the locationbar, have to wait upto 10 seconds to get a results page. This page then has a message "This page has been processed by the Firefox addon CyberSearch", so presumably it is being routed somewhere, something I feel we should be informed of beforehand. But searching is easier with this addon installed, and I missed it while it was unavailable.
