Works well for me, just one bug I found Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I use this addon to tell Arbtt what I'm currently doing in Firefox. While it works well for my purpose, I found a bug in how it detects the current domain name. Since the format of domain names at the lower levels change a lot these days, it would be good to change it so that it recognizes a domain name the same way Firefox itself does.

An example: here, "" is what Firefox says is the domain name (shown by colouring the address bar text white instead of grey), but the addon says "" which isn't correct.

Thanks again for continuing the development of a very useful addon.

edit: The solution might be to change the function at line 174, in content/my-utils.js, to use nsIEffectiveTLDService as described here:

Just one thing missing Rated 3 out of 5 stars

It works great, but the one thing I really wanted isn't implemented.
It would be amazing if you could set the tab group name as the window title.

Doesn't work at all Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Doesn't work at all for me on Fx46.

BIG Thank You! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

it helps me at "caption based" security system in internet cafes.

I like it! Simple and powerful!

Love it, but still not e10s compatible Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Really useful and lightweight customization I have used flawlessly since yesterday, when I tried to enable Firefox multiprocess functionality.

While working with a multiprocess enabled Firefox profile, this add-on is completely ineffective.

Excellent! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I really like this .... many thanks to the developer for making it

Only covers window titles and leaves out very needed tab titles. Not very good for that reason. Further, considering that these aren't old times anymore, showing "http://www." in URLs added to titles, without an option to hide it, is poor. Finding out that this add-on exists is also hard, since it is tastelessly named with underscores instead of spaces. It did not come up on the search. Overall it's sloppy, but at least it exists.

I'm not the original developer of this add-on and have only picked up 'development' so I can bump versions. Original add-on cannot be installed directly and this one can. It is showing "http://www" because the page you are visiting is showing that in the URL. This is not add-on fault, but the site you are visiting. 'http' vs 'https' is crucial to many people because if you use this for KeePass integrations, you don't want your KeePass to fire off your credentials on the site that's not 'https'. My default setting for example is:

ff - {domainName} - {currentUrl} - {pageTitle}

...and in my KeePass all entries have title "ff - <domain> - ". Then additionally I match against currentUrl to ensure I'm getting https, but you don't have to have that as an option if you don't want to.

It's tastelessly named because many years ago when I picked this up from original developer and signed up as Mozilla Developer I didn't fully test out naming, etc. But, when I first submitted it, I was able to install it in my Firefox and that's all that matters.

Overall, if you like the features but don't like the name or few nuances I urge you to create a dev account and pick up this addon to make it easier for the rest of us. I'm getting rather old, and may go to the other world and someone will be there to continue... (tag, you're it!)

Would like to see updates. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Addon does exactly what I want.Could use some additional options.
Something I'd like to see is featuring a tab group name.

Nice - suggestion Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I like this, it gets along quite well with the Personal Titlebar addon as well. I am asking though that you incorporate support for Profile-Name as well, as it is quite easy to accidentally use your banking-profile for un-secure surfing, etc. Profile-Name would fit the bill quite well (especially helpful for those who use the -no-remote option for simultaneous profiles.

One other suggestion, allow enveloping a "< b >" or such around a string to make it BOLD, or italic, or all Uppercase.

Thanks again for updating this helpful addon.

[Edit: Just realized you could insert manual text into the bar, and thus manually type in the name of the profile (repeating process in other profiles). Bumped up a star for such, but please consider < b > font styles! < /b >; Thanks :) .... ]

Perfect for Keepass with just the needed options. Thanks to the developer for picking this up from the now defunct original version. Please keep it updated for future Firefox versions. There's no need to add new features. Minimal maintenance to keep it compatible will be more than enough.
