Fantastic app, works very well. Incredibly useful, since I often have a ridiculous amount of tabs open in one window.

Useless Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This extension does nothing on Mac Firefox 53. No matter what number is set in the extension's dialog or in the about:config option that it creates, tabs are still the same width as before, forcing the hateful scrolling behavior that cripples the Firefox UI.

The person who ruined Firefox's tab behavior by removing tabMinWidth is the same person who offers this extension, and who justifies his sabotage of the browser's usability by citing this extension. The fact that this extension does not work completely undermines that justification.

from the previous review: use about:config

Works well Rated 5 out of 5 stars

No issues. One weird thing: it doesn't let you set a max width above 1000 in the preferences. If you want to set something higher than 1000 you can go to about:config and search "tabs.tabMaxWidth" and change that to whatever you want. I set the max width really high so that I would get Safari-style tab widths.

Works as expected Rated 5 out of 5 stars

The add-on works nicely on Firefox 49. And the right button on tabs works as normal as well.

Works Perfectly! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Wish the instructions were posted!

There's no right-click functionality or keyboard short cut -- but I wish there was.

Change the tab size by going into your Three Bars Menu, Add-Ons, Custom Tab Width, then Options.

Does what it says, works fine Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Never had it break; using it in Firefox 46 with no issues.

Cagada Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This doesn't work properly for FF 44. I cannot give a short size to tabs, I have to see always the titles of them, and I just want to see the favicon.

This is a shit add-on. Delete ir and give us back the possibility to change it by firefox configuration.

Dão Gottwald, the creator of this add-on, is the same person responsible for the removal of "about:config" settings that let you customize tab widths. See for yourself:

Now that's one more extension just to fix his mess...

Great! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Just what I needed. Thank you so much for this. Short tabs were last thing which Chrome was better in.

Great add-on Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I recently came back to Firefox (40.0.3) after several years with other browsers, and I found I'm no longer able to adjust minimum tab width with about:config. This add-on restores that very useful function.

Works nicely Rated 5 out of 5 stars

No need to restart. No unneeded things. Just simple and working.

P.S. This website is awful, but it's not your problem; it's Mozilla's problem.

The max tab width setting will not allow me to type anything that does not start with '10', which appears to be the minimum by text.
For me, this is a useful addon for using themes that set a really small min tab width.

Worked perfectly before Firefox 29, now it still works, but as Firefox no longer seems to take browser.tabs.tabClipWidth into account, there are no close buttons if the tab width is below 140px(the default), even if usually they are. A workaround for this is to use stylish or userChrome.css to set this:

.tabbrowser-tab .tab-close-button{display: block !important;}
