Although it's not bad overall, at present it's not completely functional for all UI in Firefox; i.e. it looks terrible when you watch an ogg video file with this theme applied.
I love this theme, but it appears to be conflicting with FF's Restore Session page (the "Well, this is embarrassing" page). I'm using FF 3.5.3. When this is my theme, the box to select which tabs to restore fails to display properly. (I've tried it with different themes, and also with all my other add-ons disabled. Qute seems to be the culprit.)
To reproduce the problem, you have to force a crash while using CrystalFox Qute:
1) Open about:config, set browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes to 0. (This forces the Restore Session window on the first resumption from a crash.)
2) Kill FF via the task manager.
3) Restart FF. The table which should list windows & tabs to restore does not display.
4) Go to Tools > Add-ons > Themes and switch theme to something other than CrystalFox Qute, then select the "Restart Firefox" button.
5) The Restore Session page should display the table of windows & tabs properly.
Love it but wish it full supported Tab Mix Plus - for some reason the icons for Add Tab don't show up in the tabs toolbar.
no se ve el boton nueva pestaña ¬¬ todo es genial
el unico defecto es ese que no se vea el boton nueva pestaña
one of my newest faves, very clean and easy to read. I use dark themes mostly but this is a great change. easy five stars.
Yay! Whoop whoop! This is easily the best looking theme in Firefox: slick, efficient, stylish, functional and all the bits work too. Easily a 5 star result. Thanks so much for ironing out the bogan elements...
Many thanks for supporting Firefox 3.5!!!
Thanks for Firefox 3.5 support!
This is my favorite but after I downloaded Firefox 3.5, the background on my toolbars turned gray like in Safari (which I hate). Is there any
way to get the white background back or is this just a problem with
Mac OS and Firefox 3.5? Thanks.
What version of the theme are you using. I must admit that I am not able to test anything on a mac. The most I can test on is Linux and Windows. Try the latest version from this link and please let me know if it works:
Love the theme, but a cigarette ad is cheesy,
It isn't a cigarette, it is chemically the equivalent to a nicotine patch. If anything it is an anti cigarette add.
I love this theme. It is simple, easy to navigate, straight forward and just, as it is named, quite "Qute". I mostly appreciate that it is easy to navigate, providing a clear, pleasant, uncluttered appearance and also goes well with all of the other "Qute" add ons. I also am pleasantly surprised to see the "Green Smoke" ad here and grateful to be offered an alternative to use to help quit smoking. I am ordering the starter kit tonight and can't wait to start using it. We recently found out my Mom has renal (kidney) cancer, of which the number one cause is cigarette smoking, so this makes it even more essential that I should step up my efforts to stop smoking. What a bonus! Thanks Big Red Brent!
Thank you so very much for your support!
You are inappropriate to tell this man/woman to remove the url. He's simply trying to give people less of a dangerous option. Nobody said it was completely safe. You're inhaling smoke, for crying out loud. At least there wouldn't be chemicals and stuff that causes cancer.
For you to say its a "ripoff" is very telling. It tells me you prefer all the poisonous and cancer-causing chemicals. I am a non-smoker telling you to leave smokers alone and consider trying something that's 100% chemical instead of the overtaxed and overpoisoned way to get nicotine instead of harassing people.
BTW, the theme looks nice. I would prefer a dark, high contrast theme.
Well actually it is a nicotine vapor and not smoke. Smoke is made by burning something. The vapor is caused by heating the atomizing element in the cartridge creating a mist from the liquid nicotine. It is at least as safe as a nicotine patch. I did use healthy in previous advertisements, but replaced it with safe since that made a bit more sense. But it don't really matter now, an administrator has already asked me to remove the advertisements from the addon descriptions.
Knowing the 2.0.0.* world, this can be a comeback for some. I also agree with you on the default theme. The larger back button does nothing but add space.
BTW, you should get rid of that getgreensmoke.com URL wherever it appears. It's a total ripoff, and besides, like that "clean coal" mumbo-jumbo, there is NO SUCH THING - repeat - NO SUCH THING - as a healthy cigarette.
The device uses liquid nicotine instead of tobacco. Considering nicotine is not a carcinogen but only an addictive stimulant, I would consider it much more healthy then a tar and poison filled cigarette. It is the equivalent of a nicotine patch but smokeable.
I have really liked this theme, but the I HATE the new skinny custom scroll bar. Due to my vision I always have a wide scroll bar. Tried to download the previous version but got "invalid hash". So I'm now going to have to look for another theme, which I really don't want to do.
It is my understanding that the inability for the native themes to be universally usable on all platforms is a bug inside Firefox itself.
