This add-on has been working for me consistently, so perhaps the issue WileyM was having with Firefox 29.0.1 was isolated (or I somehow missed a break in functionality before I updated Firefox)?
The ability to sort, check, set, edit, and block cookies makes this add-on above-and-beyond. Other add-ons, such as Biscuit and Quick&Clean, are not nearly as fine-toothed and as precise.
In particular, I enjoy the ability to spot cookies I've noticed tend to "hide" with different but equivalent names: http://example.com, http://www.example.com, and http://subdomain.example.com can all be sorted now to review them all "per site" than strictly alphabetically (Cookie Manager+ --> Tools --> Options).
Anyway, excellent add-on. A bit advanced, so possibly overwhelming for 1st-time privacy fanatics, but equipped well for powerusers familiar with cookies.
I hate cookies
Excellent add-on, extending the functionality of the built-in cookie viewer, which remains available on demand. CM+ offers a very useful set of configuration settings.
One suggestion: it would be nice if CM+ could (additionally, on demand) export the cookies in XML format.
The best thing about this cookies manager is not even mentioned in the above description of this add-on. Do add that. That is - this allows sorting of displayed cookies on the basis of main domain name also (that is - it ignores sub domains, bringing all cookies of a main domain together, irrespective of subdomains). That is very helpful that brings all cookies of a domain together thus helping in deleting them together. With this, an option to list only single entry of main domain names would have been very useful so that we could just remove all cookies of a main domain name.Otherwise, interface is just default interface of ff cookies manager. can be made better. Thanks for it. loving using it.
It would be nice if it would preserve the user input so that one can do multiple searches and chose to mark or unmark just the results.
For example to do a search for "foo" then exclude results containing "bar". Trucks that are not fire trucks. fruit not banana :-)
Works great!! Thank you ;)
Please make it work on android!!! Thanks
It works and it's easy to use
i love this , thank for your work
Easy and simple
All featurs are available.
For those with non-working installations, have you disabled other add-ins one by one to check for an interfering add-in? I have quite few add-ins installed, but only enabled when I need to use them to avoid add-in incompatibilities.
not working with firefox 15.0
i just want to report, than cookies manager+ doesn't work anymore in Firefox version 15.0 - latest, all fileds are grayed and disabled :( , i can't edit aynmore cookies :( !?
Please tell me, do you plan to fix this problem and when ?
Thanks for the update!
What would make it even better is the ability to open it in a tab. Since I use different profiles at the same time, Alt-Tabbing through the opened windows to use an extension is tiresome.
I use it. I like it.
I'm personally still in the learning phase with it, but it gives some potent additional user end controls over the 'browsing experience'.
I always lost settings from charts and logon information. With this add-on I just set the expiration date of those cookies to the remote future and nothing gets lost anymore.
Thank you very much for this helpful add-on!
Allows me to easily click a button and delete cookies, so I can continue developing without having to troll through menus.
Worked perfectly for the time that I used it with latest firefox, however after switching to nightly I cannot seem to edit any cookies, the Save and Save As buttons are grey and I cannot edit any of the fields.
Yes, it supports only to FF v14
thank you for keeping this alive between firefox "major" versions
it would be nice to export a set of cookies for a domain
to later import it, or "programmatically" import it with greasemonkey/scriptish
for those sites where remember basic auth is not sufficient
You can use search feature together with selecting needed cookies, then export selected.
Feature request: automatically, silently import cookie txt file backups on browser launch.
Extra please with sugar and so forth. :)
That is something this extension never meant to do and probably never will, sorry.
However, a restartless extensions just for that purpose could be done in 10 minutes ;)
Here is restartless, 2kb, 30minutes worth of coding addon:
Can't reproduce it. Just deleted over 3000 cookies in an instance with maybe 10% cpu usage.
Perhaps you have another addon that interfere?
(Cookies Manager+ is incompatible with Firefox 8.0.1..?)
oh my bad. and i do not know why now work perfectly
FF 8.0.1 is for Mac only. I don't use Mac and can't test it on it. Otherwise it works fine on FF 3 through 11 nightly
