Won't install on v3.6 Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Won't install with v3.6. Or on those very rare occasions when it will install, it becomes incompatible with v3.6. Sounds like it would be nice if it worked.

Probably the best cookie manager of the bunch but still needs to be more complicated for what I want which is basically:

I want to be able to view every cookie that is trying to attach itself to my browser on every webpage I visit by pressing the cookie monster icon. I want them all blocked by default and I want to allow each individually cookie manually to a white list which can then be exported - just like noscript does for scripts.

At the moment Cookie monster will block either all cookies or only all 3rd party cookies depending on what option you choose but you can't see the 3rd party cookies it has blocked or give you the option to unblock them until you go into 'cookie exceptions'' but then you can't tell which cookies came from which site.

Hopefully the author will add 3rd party cookie support (if that's what I think it means) in the future and a means to export a white list and this add-on will be perfect.

Periodically delete cookies Rated 4 out of 5 stars

My sessions last very long, and I would like session cookies to be deleted automatically after a set period of time (e.g. 30 minutes), without having to restart the browser. Could you include an option to that effect?

This looks really good. A toolbar icon, however, is a must for me. I keep my fingers crossed an will stick with CS lite until there is one ;)

Cooperation with Coral IE Tab? Rated 4 out of 5 stars

The newest version of Coral IE Tab supports cookie settings for the embedded IE. I would like to have that in CM, too, so that I do not need to set the cookie policy on different plugins.

10x better than CS Lite/Cookie Safe. At least this developer keeps this add-on updated for new versions of Firefox.

Essential Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I like to block all my cookies by default so this extension is essential to giving control over cookies as I need it. Replaced cs lite when I update to ff 3.6. Love how hovering over the icon gives current cookie perm and that you have temporary permissions.

'Lancefire Bakerfox' perhaps you should enlighten people over this glaring omission.

You want to automatically block removed cookies?

Is this the same cookies that you have allowed through on a white list?

Surely its not the cookies that dont actually get to your computer because the plugin is BLOCKING them?

I cannot think what else you are referring to.

Sites set to temporairly allowed change to always allowed. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Great add-on. I have one problem with it though. Except for a few select sites, all the others I set to 'Temporairly Allow Cookies from...." everytime I go to the site, if it needs cookies (love this function). But when I re-enter firefox again later some of those sites have been moved to the "Accept cookies from...." status. I try setting back to temporary mode but then that site is locked to accept all the time. The only way to get rid of the setting is to go manually into firefox's cookie permissions are and remove the setting. I got the add-on to avoid this. Amyone else notice this behaviour?

Great addon, but could have more easier interface, i.e. draggable buttons for the browser to set a specific mode immediately, i.e. an "angel button" etc.

CM crashed firefox Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Latest version crashed my firefox after install. I had devil of a time getting it uninstalled since I couldn't open firefox except in computer safe mode. I wouldn't give it one star if I had a choice.

Excellent addon, thanks!

> please let me know your preference and thoughts for these possible additions:
> - Some level of 3rd Party Cookie support
Some basic functions like on/off/temp.on will be good, imho.

> - Cookie protection
This will be highly appreciable, with protection against LSO, for ex.

This is by far the best cookie management add-on for Firefox I have used, and I've been through nearly every one posted to AMO. Cookie Monster has been my cookie management add-on of choice for nearly a year now at home and at work.

The status bar location is ideal for me to quickly and easily see and manage cookies for the website I am currently viewing. It works great for minimizing unnecessary/tracking cookies (and avoiding countless exceptions), especially with reject cookies by default on. The site level feature is handy too for sites you go to that are subdomains of a domain you don't want their parent's tracking cookies for. The Override Global Cookie Permissions setting is nifty for those occasional sites (like one of my bank's!) that use "navigator.cookieEnabled".

My one ask would be what dijitul mentioned in an earlier review: to be able to see (perhaps through status bar text, dialog balloon, or some other subtle manner) when Firefox blocks cookies, especially from third party domains, since sometimes you need to allow cookies for these domains so redirect links work. The icing on the cake would be to make it changing cookie permissions for third party domains as easy as first party ones (maybe as another option on the context menu or clicking on the third party cookie notification brings up options to allow/reject).

I've only just installed this but I love it already. It gives me full control over cookies and helped me solve my problem with a particular Google page. Great stuff!

Yummy cookies! Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Good plug-in for cookie management. Changing my review.. increased by one star. To get five stars, add a way to see cookie domains that were blocked successfully... so I can tell if I need to enable cookies for linked domains or redirected links! Thanks for a great job!!!

Best cookie manager I've found yet! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I like to install firefox extensions system-wide and operate under limited user accounts on Windows XP. This is the first cookie manager extension that I've found capable of operating in this manner. Kudos to the developer for permitting this obscure mode of operation :-)

Does this add-on block LSO's?

(The support forum is down)

Heh and I think it is even better than CookieSafe.
>>There is NO documentation and [...]
It's not like this is Photoshop or any similar program.
The only downside, for now, is it reloads sites everytime you change permissions.

>>[...] that provides me a white list, since I know...
It is a whitelist.
Good idea, good execution. Plus it has Monster in its name. No, just kidding XD.
