Alternative Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Until the author updates it for latest Firefox versions, try this alternative: Multicolumn Bookmarks :: Add-ons for Firefox

Can someone tell me how to update this addon to work in the latest stable FF build? I depend on this addon, since FF doesn't have this behavior by default. I am sure it is just a quick switch somewhere to fix it, like walkert (thanks) provided, but I'm not sure how to do it myself.

And it is possible to make, that icons were fast updated at list opening? Can it it is necessary to appear immediately from cache? Meanwhile, at opening of the list of bookmarks, they appear slowly one for another. Make something, the author

version 3.5 update unoffical Rated 5 out of 5 stars

In the meantime

I made a workaround, so that it will work with FF3.5. You may use it until an official version is released. http://rapidshare.de/files/47771776/ColumnBookmarksFF3.5_workaround.xpi.html

Loved this so much I held back on FF3 for as long as I could but rendering problems made me have to upgrade and I miss this feature so much. An FF3 version would be most appreciated. Thanks.

Sticky slider... Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Slider appears, and responds to up/down arrows at ends of slider, but try to slide slider, it turns to a "NOT" sign (circle with a line through it) and exits bookmarks on release of slider.

Well, I read some of the older comments, and it seems the method in the link I gave will not work for this extension.

Sorry about that.

My mom is going to be ticked. I'll have to downgrade her to FF2 so she can have her columns.

Those who have FF 3.*, try this out:

http://www.dailygyan.com/2008/03/how-to-install-delicious-extension-in.html

Doesn't help me with this particular extension, since for some unknown reason it apparently doesn't work in Linux (sigh... I deducted two stars in my rating just for that)... but will work with many, though not all, old extensions in both Windows and Linux versions.

Give it a try.

I agree that column bookmarks should be standard in Firefox. Sometimes I wonder about the developers and their decision making process ("hey man, let's make people scroll down a three or four page list to find their bookmarks! That would be funny." "Right on, man... totally hilarious... hey, pass me that joint you bogart!").

Brilliant - but needs a FF3 version Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This a is great Add-on and particularly special because it's one of the few that has no competition, ie. there is nothing at all like it or even similar. Column Bookmarks should be standard in Firefox.

So please, DigDug, have a go at making a version for FF3. There will be many appreciative people. Thanks
