Please add support for Firefox 3.5! http://pic.im/5bv
I've been using this extension for the past few years. And find it to be very, very helpful. I'd also like to request support for firefox 3.5.
Proof that this does not work with Firefox 3.5, http://pic.im/5bv.
I constantly post links in HTML, so this addon is AWESOME! I had searched high and low for addons that made links and text into html and finally settled with a bookmarklet that made the current page you were on into HTML. (it opened a new tab and you copied the contents.) I still use it, but if I see a link on a page, I right click on it and choose to copy it as html. This addon is ESSENTIAL to me! Please add support for Firefox 3.5! I keep checking this page for an update, but no luck.
Before I discovered this addon (downloadsquad wrote about it) I was using a simple addon called "Copy Link Text". Needless to say, I uninstalled it when I discovered this one! This addon is freaking awesome and I used it constantly every day!!!
Excellent add-on! Now all I have to find is a working add-on that strips formatting from non-link text. Again, great add-on! :-)
Not really useful, yet. It would be a truly great tool if it be possible to create a hyperlink by copying non-hyperlink text and using the current URL as well. And of course with short-cut keys.
awesome, copy the current page title/location is useful.but i think it'd better can support drag the link/text to IM
I copy and paste links a lot, e. g. for my personal wiki, so this add-on is an enormous help - I always install it whereever I use Firefox!
This extension is a great time-saver and being able to Add/Edit Custom Formats is the crowning feature. One new thing I would like to see is the option to use the mouseover text for url for those sites which gunk up and hide the target url for tracking purposes (hello, google).
This is great. Saved my life :P
1 thing I'd like to see in the next update is copying multiple links at once.
That would save my life even more.
Thanks for this!
This is my all time favorite addon.
I simply can't live without it.
So useful and simple, and I love add-ons, like this one, that don't come with clutter!
I like Colt a lot. It offers great functionality out of the box, and is easily extensible.
I wish there would be an option to use the same functionality for the current tab (instead of just for links).
I love this addon!
The most useful extension I've ever had.
Easily extensible to automatically convert links into whatever flavour of BBcode.. etc.. you need.
Gone are the fiddles of rebuilding usable links.
Does what it says .. that's all you can ask.
Installed in Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9pre) Gecko/2008041907 Minefield/3.0pre
I love the extension, but was disappointed when I found there wasn't an easy way to copy/paste url+text of the current link in the addressbar.
I'd love for the existing functionality to be added to a right-click off the existing url in the address bar!
A long awaited extension/feature that's priceless for dealing with 'copy and paste' functions related to hyper-links. Well done! ...and it's user friendly as well as customizable! Just right click a hyperlink and make your choice from the right-click context menu. Default choices will cover the majority of users needs and if you have a special formating need, add it via the extensions 'Options' dialog. A must have extension if you deal with 'copying and pasting' of any kind of page/hyper link.
Thank you Jonah and contributers!
Merveilleux, wunderbar, fantastic! If I counted the number of times I had to deal with a link's text to copy it only without having the link move me off, I'd be a wealthy man! Great extension, works great, a "peit bijou" (a gem, in french!). Bravo!
EDIT : confirmed!
I use this much more than you would likely imagine. It's so nice to not have to highlight linked text to copy it. What a pain that used to be. Add to that the option to copy as HTML, BB code and Wiki.. then it's just icing on the cake. Well done indeed!
Simply put, and quoting from the CoLT add-on page, this little extension adds two menu items to the context menu when a link is right clicked. These menu items copy both the hyperlink's text and URL to the clipboard in the format you choose: either as plain text, as an HTML hyperlink, or as a custom format (which you may specify)
It's a small extension (21 KB) that performs one simple function very well.
