Fixed Saturated Reds Rated 5 out of 5 stars

On both my Mac and PC, all photos were displaying with super saturated reds. After assigning my custom display profile in the preferences, everything looks perfect. Photoshop, Lightroom, Safari, and now firefox all match!

Thank you for this! After installing Firefox 4 I noticed most photos had a yellowish tinge, with grey not being even RGB values. Disabling colour management with your add-on fixed this for me.

This UI is awesomely useful. I no longer lurk in the FF config to adjust this. Color Management is very important for me & my workflow.

Thanks for making my life easier (btw, FF kick so much ass for support color management ! FF FTW!)

thank you! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I have a wide color gamut screen and noticed oversaturated colors on SOME images in Firefox (4). Thanks to this add-on it was easy to find out why this happened: it concerned the photos that had no embedded ICC profile. Enabling color management for all images with this add-on solved my problem. Thank you!

够神奇!国内印刷行业不可缺少的一个扩展。
不过恕在下眼拙,实在看不出来区别。

Doesn't work. Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Try this link: http://shadrin.rudtp.ru/Personal/Shadrin_news_hot6.htm
All pictures should be the same, Safari does it, FireFox 3.6.8 doesn't.

rename icm to icc for plugin fix Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I thought I'd report that I've had success renaming the icm color profile to icc in order to load it correctly into firefox. Color renders perfectly, and as far as I can research the differences, the two file formats are nearly identical

Are ICM profiles supported? Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I've chosed an ICM profile produced with a Colormunki Design and seems to be working just fine, or it is just ignoring it because the plugin suggests only ICC files for browsing?

Thanks

ICM instead of ICC monitor color profile Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Question: it is possible to use a ICM instead of ICC monitor color profile?
So that I can use in the "Set Color Profile" a ICM file?

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.5.2).

Not sure

I'm not sure (I didn't program the underlying color management code), but you could give it a try and see if it works. It would be great if you could let me know one way or another. Thanks.

Also in my Firefox 3.5.6 the "browse" button is not responding.
But can I put it in my self? is this the good path statement?
file:///windows/System32/spool/drivers/color/Spyder2express.icc

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.5.1).

Sorry for the late response

This should be fixed in version 0.5.2. If you have any further problems you can fill out a bug report here: http://github.com/SeanHayes/firefox-color-management-add-on/issues

Also, I think C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\color\Spyder2express.icc should work. That's an interesting question though. Could you also try file:///C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\color\Spyder2express.icc and let me know if either one does or doesn't work? If you could it would be a big help.

"browse" button not responding Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Wonderful add-on for the lovers of accurate color. However, the "browse" function to select your monitor profile does not respond.

Sorry I didn't see your message sooner. This is a known issue related to a change in the XUL platform, it should be resolved in version 0.5.2 of this add-on. If you have any other problems you can fill out a bug report here: http://github.com/SeanHayes/firefox-color-management-add-on/issues

Hi.

Thanks for this add-on. It's better than messing into about:config.

If you are looking forward improving it, and if you don't mind, here are 2 ideas :

- Add a button in the status bar to toggle the color management

- In the setup, offer the possibility to store 2 or 3 different monitor's profiles (instead of only one) and add a list accessible from the status bar to swith between profile.

(Restarting Firefox would always be mandatory for changes to take effect, I guess, but, well, it would be really easier than going to the add-ons manager settings).

Best regards.

Thanks

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll investigate and see what I can do. If you have any other ideas you can put them in the bug tracker here: http://github.com/SeanHayes/firefox-color-management-add-on/issues

Great....but Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It does exactly what it says on the tin, colours are correct with this add-on.

A small problem is when you have 2 or more tabs open with large jpgs e.g. files from a 12MP camera review. There are 2 second pauses at random when changing tabs when this add-on is enabled.

@CodedoC

Some people might not like changing the about:config manually.

Also, take note, as a pro photographer, you can't convert all your images to sRGB correctly!!

This is a great little add on that does exactly as it says.
