Gr8 addon!! very handy!!
Happy to find this add-on to allow clipping from Firefox to OneNote. Nice features!!!
Very Nice add-on. Makes my day easier.
The only feature I miss is the ability to specify where I want the note clipped to. I can't bring myself to knock off an entire star for this though.
Yes you CAN change the destination folder. Follow the instructions below:
* Open Microsoft Office OneNote
* Goto Tools -> Options
* Select Save from the Category pane on the right-hand side.
* Under the section "Paths" you can modify the destination of un-filed noted section.
Or check out this video i made: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3a7kO8C23c
Hope this is helpful to you...
I can Copy/Paste pages just fine on my own without an addon. In fact, I can do it better since I can choose where to paste! This addon is only useful if you want all your notes to go to the unfiled notes section. If you don't use the unfiled notes section so much, then this addon simply adds more steps to the process of clipping to OneNote.
I was also hoping for more features. Like not using the clipboard or being able to change destinations and/or formats on the fly.
Great add-on: without it I would actually not use Firefox, despite the fact that I prefer it over Explorer.
Works fine in FF4b2 if you have the Add on compatibility reporter. Does what it's supposed to do, great add-on!
Great add-on! I can't live without it
I love this add-on. How do I get it to work with Firefox 4 Beta.
Works perfectly and as advertised. Works even when force-installed into the Firefox 4 beta.
This will help me stop living in email!
Hope to see shortcuts (ctrl-alt-L and toolbar) added for Thunderbird.
Works perfectly well. No problems. Exactly what I have been looking for. And more features are promised for a future version. Great.
Happy to find this add-on to allow clipping from Firefox to OneNote. Works great.
Great power toy... works flawlessly on Firefox 3.6.6
Thanks - Donation gratefully sent.
Wish List - to be able to clip to the same page in One Note. I need to clip odd short sections of text from a number of sites... I end up with 50+ pages in One Note which I have to bring together manually.
I too had the same problem. I use Merge Pages Powertoy (link below) . It is an open source power toy developed by Microsoft Onenote Testing Team member, JohnGuin. To merge multiple pages, you can just select all the pages and click merge. it'll do the rest for you. Hope this will be helpful for you and boost up your productivity.
I installed this on 2010-06-14 and have been trialling it fairly extensively. It seems to do exactly what it was designed to do, and very well too. Thankyou for a nice piece of work.
It appears to be trouble-free except for one instance when it seemed to "hang" in its little busy window whilst clipping to OneNote. I cancelled that task and re-clipped the same web page content, and it went fine that time.
a great add-on which i was searching for past few days. about note toking task, nothing is better with this add-on and with versatility of one-note application. but i have few suggestions:
1. can make pictures from websites clipped to onenote?
2. very imp: can all clippings go to one onenote file instead of adding separate notenames. or better, if there is an option for which folder to add it.
3. still better, instead of pop-up, if it shows as a side window , just can drag and drop the required contents.
anyway still i rate highly of such add-on. thanks a lot Madharasan.
The addon works great. One improvement would make it excellent; and that is to get it to not interrupt me by opening the clipped note when I'm browsing.
works great. windows 7, firefox 3.6.3, onenote 2007
Just installed - works fine and I will see how it works in practice.
Running under FF 3.6.3 (German), XP Pro with latest service pack, OneNote 2007
Clips flawlessly in Firefox 3.6.xx.
I have XP, the latest Service Pack, and all Microsoft updates installed. I have a HP Pavilion 8200 series.
I'll try to get a donation to you soon, as a token of my appreciation.
clipping selected text works fine for me ff3.64 x86, 1N 2010
Tested Windows 7 64-bit, Firefox 3.6.3, OneNote 2010 RTM. Tested Clipping entire pages, single images, and text and image, and text, all working and clipping properly to OneNote flawlessly.
It will clip the whole page OK but, as others have said, I can't get it to just clip selected text.
FF3.6.3 and OneNote 2010.
Keep up the good work!
Hmmm, I wonder if there is an Add-On that would let me clip this page to OneNote the way I could if I were in IE? 2 minutes later I'm doing it. Exactly what I wanted. Nice!
Madharasan, great job on this add-on.
It's simple and effective and does what it's meant to do without fancy bells and whistles.
I was very happy to donate to this given all the effort it has saved me.
