aunque no lo he probado, supongo que su funcionamiento debe ser similar al de FEBE... excelente trabajo, estoy seguro que tiene la misma calidad que su trabajamo más conocido ;)

You are truly my hero. You have done it. You found out a way to back up extensions (OPIE) and install them effortlessly (CLEO). It's the next best thing to an extension synchronizer there is out there. Thank you so much for all of your hard work. You currently have the most useful extensions out there! The firefox community owes you bigtime!!!

Excellent add-on. In fact should be made as a standard feature on the browser for add-ons management.

FEBE and CLEO for Fx 3.1

Both FEBE 6.1 and CLEO 4.1 (for Fx 3.1) are available from my extension homepage. (See http://customsoftwareconsult.com/extensions/index.html)

They will be released here on AMO when Fx 3.1 is released.

Very useful!!! Rated 4 out of 5 stars

For Firefox people with many computers this is a must-have, once they settle on the extensions they use!

Firefox 3 compatibility Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I have patched-for-3 version of numerous extensions that won't migrate at http://quitt.net/mozilla/extensions/ (Caveat Emptor)

I really like this extension as it allows you to streamline multiple extensions into a single file.

My only gripe is that there is no 'select all' function. If you have 20+ extensions, you should be able to select all, instead of manually shift clicking each one.

Apart from that, I think this extension makes a great companion for FEBE! :).

Multiple selection of items

There are a few ways to select several items at once. Shift-click the first and the last to select a range, Ctrl-click to select/deselect a singe item, or Ctrl-A to select everything. Note that these commands are not special to CLEO, they apply to any window where selection is allowed (at least in Windows, don't know about *nix or Mac)

How to for Vista Rated 2 out of 5 stars

OK, I apologize for using Vista.
That done, where do I go to find the jar and extensions to package? In Vista, there are "local" and "roaming" directories and each contains different bits.
FAQ doesn't mention this problem. At least some mention would be nice.
I gotta agree with the torque-wrench analogy, so far...

Look in your "FEBE backup destination" folder.

The extensions and themes are located in the FEBE backup destination folder (Tools > FEBE > FEBE Options > Directory >Backup destination directory).

This is mentioned in the CLEO FAQ (see http://customsoftwareconsult.com/extensions/cleo/cleoFAQ.html#A7)

Could be improved by adding ability to backup and restore GreaseMonkey scripts

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.3.1).

FEBE?

Did you mean FEBE? CLEO is an extension/theme packager, not a backup utility. FEBE can backup/restore greasemonkey scripts using "User-defined" backups.

CLEO - An Outstanding Extension Rated 5 out of 5 stars

If you are a Firefox fan like me, and find yourself taking advantage of the many themes/extensions available to Firefox, you'll find this extension more than a welcomed addition to your toolbox. At any given time I have at least 30 different extensions installed. Combine that with working on several PCs, on both Linux and Windows, and the task of configuring each system to my liking quickly becomes overwhelming. But the CLEO extension makes setting up your user environment as simple as installing a single extension.

GREAT JOB Chuck!!!

But I have one question Chuck, when can we expect to see CLEO & FEBE for Thunderbird too?

Kudos Again,
Jubei Kibigami =:o

FAQ not even close to complete Rated 2 out of 5 stars

The extension looks extremely useful, except for the interface and the incomplete FAQ. It's like a great torque wrench head with no handle: there's no real use for this tool until it can be used easily. Full points for the engine; six points deducted for no ease of use whatsoever.

What's missing?

Are you talking about the FAQ at http://customsoftwareconsult.com/extensions/cleo/cleoFAQ.html?\r\n\r\nI give step-by-step instructions on crating a cleopack. Is there something else I missed?\r\n\r\nPlease drop me a note in the support forum (http://www.customsoftwareconsult.com/phpBB2/index.php) and I\'ll gladly explain whatever you need to know.

Well.. works for me! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Had my extensions backed-up and reinstalled on a new machine within 10 minutes, however this will be quicker next time as I had to read the FAQ first (I recommend you do the same though the whole thing is pretty uncomplicated).

I plan to keep the XPI file on my pendrive ready for re-installs and setting-up friends machines with my pick of extns.

This peice of software has saved me a lot of time.

Thanx!!

Fantastic idea for distributions Rated 5 out of 5 stars

CLEO is a great tool to bundle extensions and themes that were saved from firefox using FEBE into a single xpi file. works great and is a practical solution for distributing firefox addons in a bundle. excellent idea, simple to use and does the job!

great ideal but doesn't work works Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Great ideal! Too bad it never works! Not user friendly no clear instructions. Scheduler never works. Can't manually initiate. Symantec Ghost & even bash (Linux...except for WLAN...) is easier to use. The bottom line is that something as simple as backing up browser extensions should be an easy task. There should be no need to read any info anything or visit a website site to look for instructions for such a basic task.
