Good job with the fixes for the X button and the addon bar icon button. Just wondering about this: if the red X button is showing in the text field and the web page is scrolled up or down, the red X button does not move with the field but stays in a fixed spot on the screen, thus moving outside the text field. Is there a way to have the red X button remain in the same spot within the text field as it scrolls up or down? This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.8.1-signed.1-signed).
The changes are good. . . Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Thank you for the changes to allow removal of the button from the addon bar and placing the red X button inside the text box. Just a tweak or two as suggestions. . . the red X appears a couple of pixels too high in the text box - can it be centered vertically? Also, on some text boxes, the red X is not right next to the right side border but quite a distance too far left. On other boxes, the X is correctly placed next to the right side border. I don't know why this is only affecting some text boxes and not others. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.8.1-signed.1-signed).
Thanks for your suggestions. I updated extension to show red X in input text box for all kinds of text fields. Please let me know if it does not show red X correctly on any input text field. I also fixed the bug of status bar icon settings. Now settings are preserved during close and reopen of Firefox. New version will be available to download as soon as FF approves it.
How to disable statusbar icon? Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Just installed version 1.5. Addon Manager shows no Options button for this addon. How does one disable the new statusbar icon, which is shown by default?
Some fields have a button just after the field to activate the input data. Is there a way to show the red X button from this addon at the end of the field but still within the field so that the red X button does not overlap the activate button on those types of fields. If this were done for all fields, it would be neater since the red X buttons often overlap the field's right border.
Thanks for your suggestions. New version has preferences to enable or disable status-bar icon. Moreover, in new version red X button will be shown within the input text field so that it will not overlap other buttons on the right of input field. New version will be available to download once Mozilla will do a preliminary review.
