Why was Clear Cache Button created?
I made this add-on for web developers. There are times when Firefox will cache data - which is normally a good thing - to enhance performance. However, when you're making many frequent round-trips with site changes, it can be a nuisance when your changes don't show up in the browser. There are ways to clear out the cache, but I wanted the convenience of a toolbar button to do this.

What's next for Clear Cache Button
A few contributors have provided enhancements recently. I am in the process of pulling these changes into the add-on and expect to release an update shortly. New changes in version .9a will include:
* updated icons
* message indicating that the cache has been cleared
