The parasite page is created when starting Rated 4 out of 5 stars
When Firefox starts this extension creates a tab with URL "chrome://classic_opera/content/grey.html" (empty page with grey background). The tab is hidden or not (it depends on other extensions), but always is accessible with Ctrl-Tab among other tabs. Please take away the page! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.5.1-signed).
not what i was looking for Rated 3 out of 5 stars
i love opera functions like ctrl+tab, open in background tab ect.
it would be need to find it in a small addon
Good, but need some work Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Please consider adding configuration option for what url is opened when you double click Firefox background (empty tab bar). Edit: It seems it is not playing nice with multiple tabs opened all at once, if you shift-click close it, after the initial one is close, you have to manually bring the following in focus :( Middle click seems to work fine tho. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.1-signed).
Please fix it to work with FF29 Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Greeat extension, but tabs looks horrible with FF29(((This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.1-signed).
I have uploaded a new version (1.3)
Mozilla still needs to review it but you can already download it at https://addons.mozilla.org/nl/firefox/addon/classic-opera/versions/ ,
That's not how tabs work in Opera Rated 2 out of 5 stars
This is not a bad add-on, but it still needs a lot of work.
Unfortunately, the author has a very skimpy notion of how tabs work in opera. Remembering a single "previously active tab" and switching to it when the currently active tab is clicked is a very naïve thing to do. Opera implements a proper queue of tabs, which can be traversed by Ctrl+Tab or by clicking the currently active tab. This is much, much more sophisticated than the mickey-moused functionality provided by this add-on.
There is another add-on, called Tab Deque, also inspired by Opera, which works the way it is supposed to. Unfortunately, that other add-on does not offer many of the features that this add-on offers, which is a pity.
Also, many of the features supposedly offered by this add-on are not applicable anymore, since recent versions of firefox do these things natively. So, they should be removed from the list of features.
Also, this plugin does not offer an "options" button, which means that it cannot be configured.
Great! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
After migrating from Opera 12 to Firefox this add-on helps a lot to keep the Opera feeling. Thanks to Oele_!This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.1-signed).

зы. не слушай дебила под ником Areed, оно нифига не соображает. TabMixPlus - глючное, ненужное говно! :-((evil)
ты молодец, продолжай - гни свою линию! :)
I love it Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Fantastic add-on that does exactly what I tried for hours to do within Firefox but could not do and that is move the bookmark bar above the tab bar.
Now that Opera 12 is dead this is as close as I can get and this add-on makes it even more perfect.
Thanks very much to the dev.

Thank you!!This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.1-signed).
Not needed Rated 2 out of 5 stars
- adds the ability to close *ALL* tabs without closing Firefox (close the last tab = have an empty tab bar)
>> tab mix plus has this built-in and is a far more useful addon than this
- click on the current tab selects the previously selected tab
>> funny, when I click a tab I expect that tab to be selected, not a different tab
- shift-click on a tab closes it
>> middle clicking a tab closes it too. built-in to firefox
- closing a tab will get you to the previously selected tab
>> tab mix plus does this.
- address bar searching with letters that refer to the search engine (use "g <text>" to search for <text> on Google)
>> wasting your time, firefox has this built-in
- move the address bar underneath the tab bar
>> don't care, firefox should be capable of doing this natively and there are probably a lot of other standalone addons that do this.
- move the bookmarks toolbar above the tab bar
>>same as above. besides, the bookmarks toolbar is clutter, you shouldn't have it open.
- add "close all tabs" to tab context menu
>>I would never want to close all my tabs simultaneously. Not in 10+ years of using tabbed browsing have I ever wanted to do this. Also tab mix plus has something similar.
- keyboard shortcuts: 'z' = back; 'x' = forward
>>and yet no ctrl-z to re-open last closed tab, no 1 and 2 shortcuts to switch tabs.
- add "open link in background tab" to open link context menu
>>middle clicking a link opens it in a background tab
- reduce the size of the tabs in the tab bar
>>there are so many other ways you can do this. I strongly suspect firefox can also do it natively.
- shift-click opens link in new focused tab
>>faster to middle click the link then click the new tab. don't have to move your other hand to the shift key this way.
- shift-ctrl-click open links in background tab
2 stars for trying, but this addon doesn't make Firefox feel like Opera (Presto) and nor is it very useful at all. Spend more time making Firefox behave like Opera in areas that count. Also, make each option in the addon selectable in some kind of settings menu.
A Must For Me Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Thank you for this.
I use mainly the "Open Link in New Background Tab" because otherwise Firefox always wants to switch straight to the new tab, even when its' preference is unticked.
3 Cheers for You : )
I Like it! Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Very useful extension for old users of Opera like me, who just started with Firefox seriously :)
I would give it 5 stars if it offer an option to enable/disable the features it offers.
BTW, "click to current tab selects the previously selected tab", is something I haven't seen in Opera. Anyway if I want to turn this off I need to have the option to enable/disable this feature.
Also the extension conflicts with Tab Mix Plus or Tab Utilities when installed.
Unecessary Rated 2 out of 5 stars
Most of this functionality already exists in Firefox if you bothered to RTFM.
shift-click on a tab closes it - Shift + middle click already does this
move the address bar underneath the tab bar - Don't get that one since we already have tabs on top option
move the bookmarks toolbar above the tab bar - Already is for me if I have tabs on top disabled
add “open link in background tab” to open link context menu - Open link in New Tab already opens in a background tab
shift-ctrl-click open links in background tab - Just middle click the link
shift-click opens link in new focused tab - Shift + middle click on a link does this
you're completely right :-)
This extension is NOT meant as something that adds many revolutionary features to Firefox. It's just an attempt to reproduce the interface of Opera, that i've used for so many years and have come accustomed to.
This extension helps me to exclusively use open source software in my daily life, without losing any of the functionality i knew from the (closed source) Opera browser.
I thought that there might be some other Opera addicts that might like it's functionality, so i submitted it here. That's all :)
Oh BTW: there's one thing i think this extension and Opera do better than all other browsers :) : the ability to CLOSE ALL TABS! It's just doesn't make sense to me to shut down a whole application when the last document is closed. Do you know any other application (word processor? e-mail client? graphics editor? ..?) that just shuts down when you decide to stop working on a specific document?!
