My original objective with "Classic Compact" was to build a theme loosely based on the default or "classic" Firefox theme that reduced as much as practical the amount of space the Firefox user interface (UI) used leaving more space for webpages. Knowing that everyone has a different idea of just how compact a theme should be, Classic Compact's companion extension Classic Compact Options provides users with the ability to customize how compact Firefox's different toolbars, tab bar and menu bar are.
Simply maintaining Classic Compact and Classic Compact Options and keeping up with with the new versions of Firefox that are released every six weeks requires a tremendous amount of development time. Donations are greatly appreciated and critical to my being able to justify continued development.
One thing I'd really like to do is add new language localizations to Classic Compact and its companion extension Classic Compact Options. If you would be interested in helping to translate Classic Compact and Classic Compact Options into your native tongue please go to: http://www.babelzilla.org/index.php?option=com_wts&Itemid=203&type=show&extension=3635
Something I have been considering is packaging Classic Compact and its companion extension Classic Compact Options into a single package to give all Classic Compact users the ability to customize Classic Compact without having to download Classic Compact Options separately.

I've been a Firefox user since 2003 when it was called Firebird. I started developing websites in 1995 with what would become EnvironmentalChemistry.com. Currently I provide website development services in Saco Maine.
I first made public my theme Classic Compact with the release of FF2, then released my extension Classic Compact Options with the release of FF3. In addition to being an add-ons developer, I volunteer as an AMO editor focusing primarily on reviewing themes.
