  • I love Chromifox as I use Firefox as my alternative browser. I love Google Chrome (my default) as it is a more stable browser but I switch back to Firefox for it's very handy add-ons.

    Now with Chromifox, I felt like there is synergy of my two favorite browers. Great job!

  • Great theme. For anyone else who wants to get rid of underlines in the bookmark sidebar, do this:

    1) go to the chromifox extension directory and (backup if you want first) extract the cfxe.jar file (which is a zip file with .jar instead of .zip) contents to a temporary directory using either built in windows zip/winzip/winrar/whatever. im not sure where every version of firefox on every version of windows stores your profile so i cant help everyone here. on anything win2k -> win7 it should be %appdata%\mozilla\firefox\profiles\RANDOMPROFILEDIRECTORYNAME\extensions\cfxe@Triton\chrome\cfxe.jar

    2) go into this temporary directory that you extraced the jar and open "browser\places\places.css" using either notepad/notepad2/wordpad/ed/vi/emacs/wordperfect 6.x/whatever

    3) line 11-13 should originally look like:

    .sidebar-placesTreechildren::-moz-tree-cell-text(leaf){
    color:#0000a9;
    text-decoration:underline}

    and you want to just comment out the part that says to underline by changing it to:

    .sidebar-placesTreechildren::-moz-tree-cell-text(leaf){
    color:#0000a9;
    /*text-decoration:underline*/}

    4) rezip the contents of the temporary directory (make sure the zip directory structure looks the same inside. should be 5 directories at the root of the zip; not one, or you did it wrong), name it cfxe.jar and replace the original one (backup first if you want)

    bonus step 3b) if you would rather have regular black text instead of blue, change the color from #0000a9 to #000000

  • love this addon. slight tweak i like though is to make the awesome bar dropdown semi-transparent like in this post:

    http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/18810/make-the-firefox-awesome-bar-semi-transparent-like-google-chrome/

    might be something to consider adding as it does really make it more chrome-like.
  • how to open extreme options.
