Great addon if you like Google's Chrome features.
This addon works well in Linux and Windows.

Disappointing to me as it removed the ability to select an appropriate search engine from the list.

Here is your review :)

Very good, complements chromifox very well. Use with the "Menu Editor" extension which will allow you to remove File | Edit | View | Bookmarks | etc. Could be improved by performing functions of menu editor, adding the option to remove File / Edit / etc in Add On's Options menu and saving people the extra download :)

Impressive Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I'm very fussy - I have 6 Firefox profiles, and spend time using them. Now I'm using Firefox 3.5pre (Mozilla Firefox for Ubuntu canonical - 1.0)

It's about as fast as Chrome - but chrome just doesn't work right, and the FLOSS Chromium isn't ready yet.

Running Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1pre) Gecko/20090611 Ubuntu/9.04 (jaunty) Shiretoko/3.5pre

Positives - the tabs look great, the tabs look pretty good, and the addressbar font is friendlier.

Negatives - I don't like the jigsaw icon on the tabs. The busy icon (blue arc) is tasty, but the jigsaw isn't - is it an error?

Great theme, this is going to be my default for a long time, cant fault it anywher. After doing all the recommended addons to make it look like chrome (all from previous reviewers on here), i found the last piece of the puzzle which is to unify the addressbar with the search bar, making you have a universal search & address bar by doing a tinsy tweak found here

http://www.liewcf.com/blog/archives/2005/01/modify-firefox-address-bar-search/

right now chrome has nothing on this baby!

Can't live without this, as i hate having a menu bar. But this makes it all right along with the hide menu bar addon. Makes me prolong migrating to google chrome thanks!!!

I found a really awesome plugins combination to transform firefox into Google Chrome:

- FfChrome
- Chromifox Extreme (Theme)
- Chromifox Companion
- Autohide

First you have to set Chromifox Extreme theme.
Then you have to configure Autohide extension to always show menu bar, tab bar and status bar and set full screen for manually requested windows.
Finally open the context menu on a page, scroll to "Show All" and select "Toggle Chrome Mode".
Now you all you need is to enable the close and minimize button. Fortunately Autohide have an hidden "Zombie Mode" that shows these buttons in the upper right corner of the navigation bar. To enable it just press SHIFT - F11. That's all!
Now you have a firefox that looks and behaves like Google Chrome!

Try it yourself!

More commands, plesae Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This works very well and is a good option for those looking for a simpler interface, even if you don't want to actually skin your browser to look like Chrome. Combine this with "Hide Menubar" and you've got most of the key Firefox menu commands a click away on your nav bar, while still keeping the full menubar accessible by pressing Alt.

The button choice could be more complete, though. I'd like to see the bookmark organizer as a choice, as well as the "About" dialog box - to better match Chrome.

Also, it would be good if it provided a bookmark drop down list button to match the one in Chrome.

It hasn't changed anything. The Appearance is the same as with Chromifox all by itself.

Restart doesn't work Rated 3 out of 5 stars

It's a nice add-on, but I've got a problem: the "Restart" doesn't work.
All functions listed in the Customize & Control menu work well, except the Restart.
I used the Personal-Menu add-on before, and the Restart worked fine.

Is there a way to translate the menu? I use Fx in german, but all entries listed above the Chromifox Companion buttons are in english. That's not a real problem, but entries in german would be nice to have.
