suggestion Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Can you fix it so it works with the glowy themes, and Black Japan? It looks really nice on the other themes I have. The colorful tabs have the same issue with certain themes, but I like the chroma tabs better...if only they worked with those themes:(

Minor Mac Matter Rated 4 out of 5 stars

The tabs don't change color until they are selected (by viewing the tab or hovering over it).

Specs: Firefox 2.0.0.11 on Mac OS X 10.4.11.

Only one issue... Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Great extension to make the individual tabs stand out. Perfect for anyone who opens tons of tabs like I do. The only problem is that it is difficult to determine which tab is open. The opened tab is brighter, but even after adjusting the opacity, it is somewhat difficult to tell the difference with single-site (single color) tabs.

En-/disable function Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Great extension although it needs a few improvements. For a start it would be good if you could enable and disable the extension by a button on the statusbar (since i only use it when i have been working for many hours in front of a computer).

It would be Nice Rated 4 out of 5 stars

If it works with your setup, it's great. For a visual person, it is a way to separate the tabs. It would be nice if you could select your own color, but after a while you remember which are which.

The big BUT is, it does not work with many tab add ons. Using 2.0.0.10, Tab Mix Plus, Send URLS, and Tab IE, no theme, it does not work. So for me, its off the list.

Great, but.... Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Would be perfect, if I didn't have to mouseover to get the color when opening tabs in background. Not sure which other add-on I have could be affecting it. Session Manager maybe?
Found out it works fine if I check "Use color from site icon".

Incompatible with Vertigo Rated 4 out of 5 stars

ChromaTabs does not work (no color on tabs) with Vertigo (vertical tabs, https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/firefox/addon/1343).

Thank you in advance for a future compatibility with Vertigo.

Useful, I guess Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I really like this add-on. It's really useful, but the only thing I made me five it a 9 and not a 10 is that I can't customize the colors for my tabs.

Great Extension Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I really like the extension. I have Tab Mix Plus and this works if I mouse over the tab. Here's a few suggestions to hopefully help.

1. There should be a way to ignore subdomains.

2. Allow domains to be manually assigned a certain color, or no color at all.

3 Offer an option to highlight the current tab - I was thinking make the 5-10 pixels across the bottom of the tab a solid bright color, giving the tab a two-tone effect, like this Jessica Simpson dress http://www.web-l.com/jessica-simpson-pictures/Jessica-wearing-a-two-tone-dress-and-waving.jpg (except I was thinking of using the same orange color that IM windows in the Windows XP taskbar change into/blink when you have a new message).

Good jeoorb on the extension!

Very nice and useful; a few limitations Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This is a great extension. Fun to use and quite helpful when dealing with many tabs. It has 2 limitations, however, which I hope can be quickly remedied:

1) When opening multiple tabs from a bookmark folder or through saved sessions (via Tab Mix Plus), the colors are not rendered unless you move the mouse over all the tabs.

2) It needs to be smart about checking the common base domain of open URLs so all get the same color. For example, tabs for urls from the following 2 hosts are colored differently even though both are logically from the same source, just a different host from the same domain:
hirise.lpl.arizona.edu
hirise-pds.lpl.arizona.edu

I would like to see this functionality eventually made part of Tab Mix Plus since it is inconvenient to have to deal with multiple add-ons.

Nice if it worked with any theme Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I like the idea of this extension, but there are unfortunately a number of themes that it doesn't work with, including the one that I use - Noia 2.0 (eXtreme). Hopefully a future version will work for those not using the default theme or one of the select themes this works with.

Love it / minor suggestion Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I'd like a checkbox to tell chroma tabs whether to make a different color for subdomains or not. thanks

Great tool! Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Much easier to keep track of simiar tabs.

I absolutely love the new favicon-extracted colors - they look great. And even better - as a result of the 'repeatable/reliable' coloring scheme, I am looking forward to the efficiency perk potentially associated with becoming familiar with each of my favorite sites' tab colors - very exciting!

Next idea for new features? What about a tab (re)sorting buttons (tabs would be re-sorted, first by site, then by tab age.)

That way, when I go on my crazy all-out tab-benders at ebay, amazon, and google (and end up opening more tabs than I can shake a stick at) I can easily re-categorize them all by site without having to pan left and right to sift through them all to find common threads...

Great concept, but didn't seem to work for me Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It's a great concept! But it doesn't seem to work properly with my setup. With this extension, all tabs are the same silvery gray color, regardless of which site it is, and the active tab is always solid white. I've tried all the options available, but nothing changes. I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.3 w/Tab Mix Plus (& bunch of other extensions). I'd love to see this in action.

brighter, more diverse colours? Rated 4 out of 5 stars

good extension, really like the concept but I find the colours slightly drab! Greater differentiation between them an increase in brightness would really enhance the intuitiveness of the product.
cheers!

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0).
