Chipmark was my favorite bookmark manager for its user-friendly interface. However in the 4 years of using Chipmark firefox add-on, there has been quite some time of glitches (inability to access bookmarks via Chipmark firefox toolbar) , perhaps due to Chipmark support team semester holiday or the issue of catching up with Firefox version upgrade. The bookmarks export function was not working for awhile. Chipmark would be one of the best bookmark add-ons if the export function is restored and the glitches are fixed.

Simple, easy & it works! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I was looking for a simple, easy and effective way to manage my bookmarks. The reviews on the latest Delicious were awful, so I went looking and found Chipmarks. I'm using it on the latest Firefox and it works perfectly. I love it and highly recommend it.

Bookmark limit Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Ive looked everywhere for a bookmarking service that is both tag based and hierarchical. This is the best service ive found except one drawback--I have more bookmarks than this service will allow me to import. Why the limit? Renders it useless to me, my search continues..

An excellent idea, but poorly implemented... Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I´m using Chipmark for a long time, but now forced to change to another solution (XMarks, not so good but functional). First they dropped the "Export" function, useful when Chipmark was unavailable. Now the lack of support for new versions of Firefox...
Sorry, guys. Your idea was excellent, but a good product is much more than this.

OK for FF 3.0 or earlier Rated 4 out of 5 stars

ChipMark has been my favourite bookmark manager for several years now and I love it: I can login on whatever computer, install the tool (if allowed) login, be it IE or FF and use my bookmarks. However, there is one drawback: It is maintained by students at the Minnisota University and they take holidays hence no FF3.5 support before september, if not later. That is realy bad!
But for FF 3.0 or earlier (and even IE) a must have!

Great but... Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Unfortunately now and then I also experience connection problems with Chipmark. Often enough to look around for alternatives. Since I use Chipmark at work as well and have to visit certain sites frequently on a daily basis, not being able to connect to Chipmark is quite a nuisance. Lucky for Chipmark there's simply no alternative for this great add-on.

In an earlier version of Chipmark it was possible to export your bookmarks for backup purposes. This was a handy workaround in times Chipmark was unavailable.

Perhaps its time Chipmark (University of Minnesota?) should ask a fee for using their add-on, so they will be able to buy some decent servers/hosting partner. I'll be more than happy to pay for it.

no probs with exper. 3.3.6, interface is kinda dated. I don't like it when plug-ins sell my information. This one doesn't so its got my vote.

Chipmark 3.6.6 is a useful productivity tool Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Chipmark had lots of problems earlier this year. However, the newest release has fixed the session timeout errors it was experiencing. One of my favorite things about Chipmark is the fact that the Chipmark team refuses to sell information about the links that I choose to store on their servers.

Reading on the Chipmark forums, it is evident there are a few kinks to still work out. For example, several plugins (notably an old version of noScript) will cause the pop-ups that another reviewer mentioned. There are also lots of features that are missing in 3.6.6 compared to the old Firefox 2 versions.

I'm using Chipmark 3.3.6 which is supposedly stable. There's several problems with it, which led me to get rid of it:
1) chipmarks stopped synchronizing
2) toolbar chipmarks don't show even when Chipmarks menu synchronizes
3) many times I click Manage chipmarks it doesn't work at all
3) Hide options (Hide bookmars etc, sometimes works sometimes done)

This is announced as stable, but it's pre alpha - very unstable. don't put valuable data into it

Unfortunately giving up on Chipmark :( Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I was a big fan of Chipmarks and was using it for so long. But with recent problems (multiple pop-ups for a new window) and lack of updates to fix those issuesfor so long, I have to give up this once-wonderful add-on. I think I'll settle for foxmarks but will miss-out on the functionality to share same bookmarks on IE. I'm sad but cant wait any longer :(

Remote+Separate+Passworded+Integrated Set of Bookmarks Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I had the Chip Marks from Fire Fox 2.
I tried about four or five different extensions that I hoped would replace it. However, since I want a separate set of passworded bookmarks stored on a remote server, which can mimic the regular bookmarks or remain separate, I was pretty much caught between the Foxmarks style of remote bookmarks and stuff like Start-Aid or the various extensions that complement "social bookmark" web sites. So as far as my unique purposes, the ChipMark is the only one that hits all the marks.

Not Ready for Prime Time Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Maybe it is just the latest update but this add-on is not ready for prime time. Every time I try to do anything on the web site I get database errors of page not found. Even the forum does not seem to work right. I will try again when there is a new version.

WOW!! Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Nice easy and very fast too!

But if I'm a Konqueror user http://www.konqueror.org/ (Opera, Safari etc.) I don't have a pretty good support, It's very clumsy, and del.icio.us has a much better support for this users.

You'll need to give us an option to select between 2 WebUI views. The one that you already have, and the other like the del.icio.us WebUI or similar to it (with Bookmarklets Buttons & RSS support for (tags) labels too)
