Installed into FF5.0 with no problems, works perfectly - thanks for a great Add-on, has saved me hours of time!

Mozilla.org is wrong Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This web page (in the box) says it works with FF v5; the RDF says v4. Hacking the RDF for v5 lets it install in v5, but it does not seem to be working in v5.

Modified for 4.0 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Ok everyone here is a modified version that will work with Firefox 4.0
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=Y5LAY623

I modified it via the instructions in gtmb's comment and it works well. Just download then drag and drop into the browser and hit "Install"

Updated

Thanks for the assist. I've recently updated it to support 4.0.*. I've also added it to GitHub. The CheckFox project (and the XPI most users would be interested in) can be found here: https://github.com/seanleblanc/CheckFox

For those willing to wait, it's been submitted to Mozilla Add-Ons, as well.

Cheers.

Thanks to the developer and to gtmb: your workaround to make it work on FF 4 works perfectly.

Firefox 4 workaround:
- Right-click and download file on "Add to firefox" button.
- Open xpi file in your favorite archiver software
- Edit the install.rdf file and change the parameter for "maxVersion" to 4.0.
- save file in archive an drag-drop the .xpi file into the browser.
- Install

Waiting for FF4? Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Do you want to use that addon?
Then install Greasemonkey and CheckBoxMate script.
Greasemonkey: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748/
Script: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/73700
It works perfectly! (always left click on checkbox and select checkbox)

Really helped me download Pubmed articles! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This saved me lots of time instead of having to click through the hundreds of checkboxes when downloading from a database, PUBMED. Thanks!

Fantastic!! At least for me Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Hi, I installed Checkfox into the new version of Firefox, took all but a couple seconds.
And went to a page where I have over hundreds of Check Boxes.
I checked all boxes, and can go back and unchecked the boxes I do not want.
I was really stuck, and this is going to help a great deal!! At least till programmers fix my problem, but
either way, I am a fan. Thanks a ton, very easy to use, and I will share this cool ap with my friends..

Slightly Counterintuitive, But Works Rated 4 out of 5 stars

CheckFox 0.9.1 works for me in FF 3.6.4, but isn't the most intuitive method. You have to select a text area, encompassing the check boxes you want, and then right-click the text area and click on "check" in the context menu. It'll then check any boxes within that selected area. It's a little tough, because the text isn't always uniform or in the same field (for instance tables), and the checkboxes don't highlight - making it hard to tell if you have the correct boxes selected. Still, despite this minor difficulty, CheckFox does help you check multiple checkboxes quickly once you figure it out.

CheckBoxMate 0.2 was far easier, but has yet to be updated for use with 3.6, even if you try to override compatibility.

It does work easily with FF 3.6 but in not in an obvious way. when selecting the check box ear it does not draw a select area over the boxes it just block the text next to the checkboxes. When the text is blocked you can right-click and you should give a check/uncheck option.

much needed Rated 5 out of 5 stars

note to self (and you people) disable Jesse Ruderman's "check range" user cript while using this extension.

On the upside with both enabled there are some interesting "new?" combined features, but there is a bit too much interference for the novelty to overcome needing to choose.

Also this plays well with "JoeSimmons's" unsafe checkboxes userscript: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/40494 -- enable all, then uncheck all

^ I'm hoping the later functionality is rolled into a future version of this extension :)

Best one available. CheckBoxMate is a pain compared to this one.
