This version adds address bar menus to the Categorize toolbar. An address bar menu replaces the navigation bar with a toolbar menu. The menu label acts as a status bar and updates according to the address the user is at. With the addition of address bar menus, the {extension} toolbar subsumes the functionality of the navigation bar and the bookmarks toolbar.

A bug in version 0.9.7 caused group menus to not show properly on Macs. That bug has been fixed in this release.

The menu switching on mouse hover behavior introduced in the last version has been removed. The switching on mouse hover behavior is problematic as the behavior can be triggered unintentionally. Menu switching now requires a mouse click on a toolbar menu button.

The Bing search menu can now limit search results to current news. It can also limit search results to the currently open website.

Group menus now accept dragged bookmarks, tabs, groups from other group menus, and even links.

Support for multiple group menus
Categorize now allows any number of group menus in the toolbar. Items from the old Groups menu have been moved to the Favorites group menu, and items from the More Groups menu have been moved to the Blogs group menu in the toolbar. The new group menus can be positioned anywhere in the toolbar.

Group Menu Search Boxes
Group menus now have search boxes. These can be used to search the web. The search boxes also accept web addresses like the address bar.

Group Menu Bookmark Drag and Drop
Bookmarks in group menus can now be rearranged via drag and drop.

Removed Groups Toolbar
The groups sidebar has been removed. Most of its functionality is now available directly via the group menus.

Web Search Menus
This release adds support for toolbar search menus. These search menus allow you to search the web as you type and have the results displayed in menus.

Quick Toolbar Menu Switching
Now you can quickly switch between toolbar menus. Once a toolbar menu is open, you can switch to a different menu by holding the mouse steady over the other menu's button in the toolbar. This behavior copies any search terms to the newly opened menu and is a very effective method of searching multiple toolbar menus quickly.

Category Menu Search Boxes
Search boxes have been added to category menus too. These allow the user to quickly find categories via an auto-complete interface.

Better Sorting Options
The bookmarks, categories, and history menu search boxes now offer convenient sorting controls.

Enhanced Admin Interface
This release consolidates all admin options under the {extension} options panel.

Removed Extraneous Features
To enhance interoperability with other Firefox Add-ons, this release removes the search bar, the quick find bar, and address bar enhancements. Replacements for these features are available in the {extension} toolbar.

Removed Offline Documentation
To reduce the size of {extension} add-on download, all {extension} documentation is now hosted online.

Categorize now supports Firefox 4. Currently, Categorize does not take advantage of any Firefox 4 specific features such as Firefox Panorama but this will change in the future.

The Error Console, the Downloads Panel, and the Addons Panel can no longer be loaded in the sidebars.

Groups can no longer include a bookmark as a member multiple times. On install, this version looks for groups that contain multiple occurrences of a bookmark and removes all but the first instance of the bookmark in the group.

This release also fixes a few minor bugs.

A bug led to the predefined bookmarks update functionality incorrectly updating the user’s bookmarking database. That bug has been fixed in this release.

A long standing bug led to Categorize not loading properly when the Firefox search bar was hidden. That bug has been fixed in this release.

A menu option has been added to the Firefox Tools menu that allows the user to hide/unhide the search bar.

Categorize no longer allows groups without any members. When upgrading, this version checks for empty groups and automatically deletes them.

A bug led to incorrect alignment of icons when adding new websites to groups in the groups menu. That bug has been fixed in this release.

This release adds a vertical orientation mode for the Tabsets View.

It also adds a slim mode for Tabsets View that only shows favorite icons for tabs.

The other big change is that clicking a tab button in the Tabsets Button now selects the button and focuses the underlying tab but does not close the Tabsets View. An additional click on the selected tab button is required to close the Tabsets View.
