I had been using it for a while and it was handy, however you were unable just to select part of a sentence to change which was a pain. It recently stopped working for me and even after I removed it and reinstalled it, it still didn't work!

I have now found an alternative which allows you to select an entire sentence or just one word to change, it's called Case Changer by Grizzly Ape, that works a treat.

IT WON'T WORK ON JUST THE SELECTED TEXT. It converts the whole text box.

Someone said "well you can't expect it to work in TinyMCE text boxes." Well I don't know what tinyMCE is but it looks like almost all my text boxes are that kind. So how come the "recover old form text" addon can alter any text box? If this addon is written in VB, I bet I could make it work....so YOU make it work, lazy programmer!

Until then, I give this addon 1 star. To everybody else: check back next week. The lazy programmer will have deleted this review because it makes his useless addon look bad and lowers his rating.

Some good, some bad. But thanks for what will be extremely useful, perhaps with some improvements.

For example, I tried it in the "what do you think" text box below. Highlighted two words, selected casey : all caps. It did indeed generate all caps -- but did it to the WHOLE text box. It would be better if you could do it only to the selected text.

Secondly, it works only in "plain" textareas. But many forums add some simple HTML mark-up buttons, often using TinyMCE as at http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/

Used together with TinyMCE, Casey doesn't do anything. Perhaps it's unreasonable to expect it to, I'm just pointing out that people who say it isn't working are probably unware that they are not testing it in a "normal" text area. Though of course, it would be great if Casey could be made to work in TinyMCE textareas too.

Does not work at all for me.
I tried it in Gmail text boxes and vBulletin forum text boxes.

This software is excellent! I can easily change all upper-case text to all lower or proper formatting instantly. It is exactly what I needed. You just saved me hours of time!

Too limited in current form Rated 1 out of 5 stars

A bit limited in it's current form for my purposes. But it has potential if improved.

It could do with
All selected text to ppper case
All selected text to lower case
All selected text to sentence case
All selected text to start case - capitalize all first letters

Those would be the easy one's to do but still very useful for use when forum Moderating.

Leetkey can do them but is very cumbersome when doing it. The quick keys clash with firefox keys unless great care is taken in their selection. Plus text de-selects itself once a transform is selected. But it usually takes two tranforms to get the text into the desired state.

That would be were Casey could be beneficial.

Good, but needs more features Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Easy to use and works as-promised... but I'd really like the option for more text conversions, including:
ALL UPPERCASE, all lowercase, & Putting the Text in Both Upper and Lowercase for Titles

Of those three, I especially want Title Case. (search for 'title capitalization rules' for more info on how those work if you need to). Title case is probably the hardest to code, but I would find it extremely useful.

Lovely! This makes it much easier for me deal with caps lock junkies when administrating forums. Good work!
