Why was Capture Fox created?
I wanted to create an add-on that's totally different from the other add-ons in terms of functionality.
So many Firefox users are developers, designers, and bloggers. I thought these people needed an add-on which will help them create screencasts very easily. So, I started developing Capture Fox one year ago and I see that that was a good idea.
What's next for Capture Fox
Guys at Advancity (my company) designed a web site for Capture Fox, www.capturefox.com. From now on, I plan to release versions more frequently depending on the user feedback. There are a lot of work to do. But the main features that are in line are as follows:
- A more compact interface,
- XVID and MP3 codec support
- Ability to change FPS between 1 and 5
- Ability to determine the output folder and filename of the output video
Besides planning the core functionality, I dream of very exciting features like turning Firefox into a video editor. That would be great, wouldn't it? :)
