Why the need to rely on Reviews to know how to use the add-on?..
After the message 'installed' there isn't an option to restart FF and after restarting it manually CacheViewer doesn't show anywhere (installed extensions, Tools > Web Developer, ...). I hope failed install didn't mess something up. FF 34.0.5
Been using it for years. I could not survive without it. It had a burp a while back which kept me using an older version that forced me to stay with Firefox 17. Today I upgraded to 34 and all is as it should be. Bravo to the developer.
a litle guide , manual or something that explain how it works , could be useful , you say search where ?
doesnt deserve a single star!! it doesnt work
I can see my cache !
Thanks a lot
Thanks for the update!
Now it works with FireFox 32.0.2
This is extremely disappointing, more so because one is never told that the new version of Firefox will have a problem. VERY BAD FORM.
It doesn't run in Firefox 32.0.1
Press the 3-bars button in the top right corner (options), press "Customize", drag cacheviewer to the options menu, open. :)
Simply, great working AND allows sorting by type and multiply images saving.

Please be usable as soon as possible in "Firefox 8.0". Thanking you in advance.(Because I did not yet use it, the ranking "should have been 3" first of all.)
To keep this working after browser updates, you can also use add-on "Compatibility Reporter" by Mozilla. With this, "incompatible" add-ons won't be disabled automatically, and you'll even find under Tools/Add-ons an opportunity to flag whether a particular add-on still works for you - for others to know! Otherwise you can disable it by hand (as always).
Click "Add to Firefox", right mouse click -> "Save Link As..." in "Install Anyway" when it appears.
Extract to a empty folder, edit "install.rfd" in notepad and change the max version to " * " only, making it look like "*".
Compress to file in ZIP format, change the .zip extension to .xpi and drag the file into/open it with FF.
This way the extension won't be disabled every time you update your FF version, but you have to keep an eye out to see if it continues to work from version to version.
I've used this add-on for years... love it! But I recently upgraded Firefox to version 7.0.1 (Windows Vista). I had to hack the .rdf file to use this add-on with the new Firefox, but it seems to work for the most part. There are two problems I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed, though: 1) CacheViewer no longer shows previews in the upper left pane for image files in the file listing; 2) right-clicking on an item in the list brings up the context menu, but the background of the menu is transparent and the menu options are quite difficult to read (they still work, though).
There are two other ("experimental") "CacheViewer" add-ons, based on the old one, available on this site: "CacheViewer Continued" and "CacheViewer Fx6". Type CacheViewer in the search box on this page. Haven't checked those as the old one still works for me on my FF6.0 as I mentioned below. Good luck!
