https://github.com/purdy/cachestatus-firefox/issues/5 – Update Stats not working in some situations
Not compatible with FireFox 57. If you get it working for FF 57+, I will give it 5 stars. Its like most Addons are not compatible with FF 57+. The FireFox devs broke the FireFox addon system.
Addon does not work under Firefox 56 !!
The space for smybols are empty and no numbers !!!
Firefox 57 compatiblity?????
5 star if compatible with firefox 57
Extensão bem eficaz e bem pratica de ser usada.
For me its very beneficial to see whats going on "under the hood" in FF.
It would be nice tho if the dev could update it to be fully compatible with Classic Theme Restorer. I know it can be forced to show on status bar, but visually its not remotely as nice looking as it is when its on the search bar.
Small note to ones that use these two add ons, if you want CacheStatus to show on Status bar, you need to open Classic Theme Restorer settings and tick the box "Movable status panel" in "General UI" menu, "Page 1" sub-menu. Took me a while to find this.
Anyways, thank you for your work and thanks for sharing it!
EDIT: Just found out that SDK version works perfectly fine with Classic Theme Restorer. Although it doesn't have separated "clean cache" options in context menu, only "Clean All", it does its job!
All the best
I would give it six stars if clear cache button is added in the status bar (instead of being hidden in the right click). :)
Today I noticed that the app was working on my browser. Not sure why but I am glad. It's the best cache cleaner.
It does not work in Firefox 47.0.1
It does not work in Firefox 47
Has been a very good add-on for years now, but since ff45, clicking Clear ALL Cache, now only deletes it in chunks, so having to click and clear it 5-or-6 times to get it back to 0.00Mb
broken cache clean function with Firefox 45 ... please fix it !
The max cache settings keep changing all on their own. Usually to an extremely low number or even zero. I find this add-on unusable. Had to uninstall after less than a day.
Mac OSX 10.6.8
A simple startup (and maybe some deleted add-ons) and everything works perfectly on Mac computers too.
FR: Un simple redémarrage (et peut-être quelques modules supprimés) et tout fonctionne à merveille sur Mac.
Using it long time, I wish there was a little small additional ICON to clear whole cache with just one click (instead of mouseRight+chooseClear).
I really love this extension. I watch a lot of YT videos and have many tabs open, so being able to keep an eye on my cache as well as clear it when needed is nice. Sadly, I've been running into issues over the past few months where I have three windows open but the cache information is only shown on one of them, usually the first window that opens. The windows open on FF launch via a saved session. I don't know if this is an issue with the extension, Firefox, how many tabs I have open in each window, or some combination of the three but it's frustrating and keeps me from rating this higher. If I knew for sure it wasn't the extension I would give it a 4.5
could you make it a movable object so it can be placed somewhere on the gui, or better yet on the "Extended Statusbar" addon?
I have disabled disk cache from about:config, and the extension displays the same values for the disk and the memory cache. Disabling the disk cache is probably not very widely used by the average Firefox user (I'm trying not to kill my SSD prematurely), but I'd expect it's something that people who write an extension specifically for cache monitoring should be aware of.
Interesting extension for cache stats available on The Addon Bar. Thanks to the authors.
Disk cache is back, tnx :)
