Isn't it ironic that the main reason I installed this add-on was to be able to install experimental add-ons from this site on other computers where I don't want to use my own login?! Well, it can come in handy occasionally, so I certainly recommend it...

Hi, thank for this extension.
It would be grat to have an aliasing mechanism in it.

If I wanted to log in to mysite.org, but bugmenot had only a _valid_ entry for mysite.redirect.org (because bugmenot didn't want to bug mysite.org too much) I had to find the data manually...

With custom aliases one can decides his own "private" mappings.

Thanks.

Great! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Very useful. I'm a writer and I use newspapers dozens of times a day. Juggling all those logins would suck.

This very much does not suck. Thanks to whomever submitted this login to BugMeNot, by the way.

I JUST installed BugMeNot 2.0 (running Firefox 3) logged in to Firefox add-ins and have posted this review. If it shows up you know this thing works.....

While I agree that some of the add-on's features were removed and its long description should have been changed to describe the current version, remember that it was the maintainers of the bugmenot.com Web site themselves who had automatic failure reporting removed to reduce the burden on the Web site, so don't blame the author for that. I'm suspicious that multiple login attempts are being prevented by the Web site reducing the maximum number of connections from a specific IP in a short period of time to a negligible number. Maybe it was the target of denial of service attacks.

But it does suggest that additional modifications are required for the add-on to work with the Web site as it's currently set up.

This is a fine plugin which integrates a fine web site into firefox and I have given it a 5 star review before.

My criticism right now however is the support behind it. Serious bug reports are ignored by the author as are, it seems comments on the authors blog about it.

The features list in the long description is inaccurate. Version 2.0 will NOT attempt multiple logins, report failures or auto-submit new logins.

If you want these features I suggest you install a previous version with perhaps a little help from the MR-Tech-Toolkit addon.

Does not work. Tried it on famous websites like nytimes.com and latimes.com to read news, and it will not even put the credentials in.

Good but not fully working in ff3 Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Good program to use whenever you don't feel like registering and manually logging in, which seems like all the time for me. Having similar problems with other users--only tries 1 login account for the site. It used to automatically try the next account if you had the option enabled or it let you right click the box and there was a menu where it let you choose different login names but this option is missing in ff3.

Now I find myself constantly going to the bugmenot website to look for additional logins. I hope this gets fixed as it's pretty annoying. Still, as much as I hate doing that, I hate having to register even more so I'll always try to use this extension first!

Good, but... Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Great idea, really useful addon, but a couple of flaws (with my firefox 3.0.1). It only tries one login, instead of automatically trying others when the first one fails, and I can't find the "account options submenu" it talks about on the options screen.
