This is the BEST addon I use. I've been using it for a couple of years now. I just "sampled" FF4, and there isn't any addon even close to this one. Hopefully the Dev will make one for FF4, but if not, I'm staying with FF3.6 just for this addon.

I'm totally in the habit of quickly adding things I need to look at later to my unsorted bookmarks folder, and using this extension to quickly access them. When it stopped working (in FF4), it totally ruined my work flow. Sooo, time to look for a workaround...

I found (with google, not expertise :-) ), that you can create a new bookmark and set the location as:

place:folder=UNFILED_BOOKMARKS

It might not work straight away, but move it (???) and it will turn into an unsorted bookmarks folder. You can do the same but on the "Bookmarks Toolbar".
Do this with a blank bookmark title and then drag the "Bookmarks Toolbar Items" to the "Navigation Toolbar" (or elsewhere) get something approaching a button (if you don't use the "Bookmarks Toolbar").

Very nice! This add-on creates three useful toolbar buttons: one for the library ("organize bookmarks"), one for the Bookmarks Menu, and one for Unsorted Bookmarks. This is particularly useful when it is combined with one of the many add-ons which compacts the Menu Toolbar Menus, as it pretty much eliminates the need for quick access to the Bookmarks and History menus.

Possibly because the creator is not a native English speaker, the preference options in English can be a little bit confusing. The first switch, which simply reads "Organize Bookmarks..." is actually asking you if you want that button to show its *text,* not whether you want it at all. If you leave it unchecked, the toolbar button will display in icon form only; if checked, it will display both icon and text. This is particularly confusing because the other two check-boxes, which do exactly the same thing for the other two toolbar buttons, are phrased in a manner that makes it clear what they do. I imagine there's some relevant grammatical difference in the creator's native language that accounts for this discrepancy.

Anyway, despite this quibble, this is a great little add-on. Be sure to check out Alice's others as well: she has many good ones for dealing with bookmarks and the library.

Love the toolbar button, I really miss it on Firefox 4 beta.

Lets hope this gets updated soon.

Very handy Add-on, I love this so much since I can easily browse my bookmarks just by clicking on my toolbar or wherever I place that button.

Thank you so much for that.

This is very good, but unfortunately a bug make it unusable for me. Basically, when I add the button to my toolbar, after a while (normally about 30 minutes) the button to the left (of this button) stops working. The only way to fix this is to remove this button from the toolbar and put it back on. Very annoying.

Loved it! This is exactly what I've been looking for. Now I can finally have my links (which I copied into unsorted bookmarks) and my whole bookmarks menu in nice neat little folders on my bookmarks toolbar, without having to keep manually re-copying them whenever I updated anything. Fantastic! You can even add, delete or move bookmarks within the menu button. Cannot believe I just found this...it might sound small, but it's made such a difference to me, thanks so much!

The Unsorted Bookmarks button won't display as "icon only" and the text takes up a lot of space. Please make this button without text. And, what ever you do, DO NOT combine these into one button! That would defeat the purpose of this add on. I got this for the Unsorted book marks button, since I don't use the other useless bookmarks menu.

Can't display icon in 3.1b3.
I prefer combine the three buttons into a single bookmark menu button.

Thank you this is exactly what I needed!!!

I am using the extension Hide Menubar to save screen space and I needed a way to access the bookmarks without reaching for the keyboard.

The advantage that this addon has over the default bookmarks button is that the built-in version loads the sidebar to show the bookmarks, which is both ugly and slow.

Using this extension I have a nice quick menu and the icon is 10x prettier too. Top marks.
