Bookmark Current Tab Set reappear in FF30 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

After deactivation of the Addon "Firejump" two Addons "Bookmark Current Tab Set" and "Keefox" appeared. They work fine. Two other Addons "NoScript" and "Video Downloadhelper" are still missed.
It is a horrible scenario. You got an update of the browser and 4 necesssary Addons disappeared. The Addon Manager shows you the Addons active, but nothing works.

This user has a previous review of this add-on.

It is good to know that you were able to get this add-on to work again. Hopefully you'll soon be able to use those other add-ons that you mentioned as well.

Thanks,

Exellent potential with a couple critical flaws Rated 3 out of 5 stars

As many others have mentioned, this needs the ability to select the bookmarks folder for the backups, to avoid cluttering the main bookmarks folder. Also, it would really benefit from the ability to set a limit to how many backups are created, so once it reaches that number every time a new backup is made, the oldest one is deleted. The most serious and biggest flaw, however, is the inability to tell it not to bookmark pages when a private window is closed.

Thank You

Thank you for your review and for your suggestions. By suggesting that I add these features, you have made it more likely that these features will be included in a future version of this add-on.

Suggestions Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thanks for sharing, Bookmark Current Tab Set saved me many times :)
here is some suggestions:

1-The option to save opened tabs in Tab-group in a separate sub-folder.
For example it would look like this:

Tue Jun 03 2014 19:41:00
>main
>industrial shearing machine
>Finding a good school
>nil1(if no name has been assigned to that Tab-group)
>nil2(if no name has been assigned to that Tab-group)
>Pinned Tabs (for tabs that are pinned :) )

2-The option to save opened tabs in only the opened Tab-Group.
For example:

Tue Jun 03 2014 19:41:00
>Finding a good school
>Pinned Tabs (for tabs that are pinned :) )

Great extension, but would be nice to specify bookmarks sub-folder Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I've been looking for an extension like this for a long time and this does almost everything I want perfectly except for one thing: it doesn't give you the option to save bookmarks into a subfolder. The only places you can save the bookmarks are Bookmarks Menu, Bookmarks Toolbar, and Unsorted Bookmarks. It would be great if you could not only specify a specific folder each time, but set a default subfolder in the preferences. I know this has already been suggested, but just wanted to weigh in that this is the only thing missing from my experience. In any case, much thanks for providing this!

Thank You

Thank you for your positive review of this add-on. It is good to know that you find this add-on useful. When I am able to find time to update this add-on, I will look into adding the feature that you requested.

I'd like an option to bookmark all tabs to the right or left, as another user asked.

Thank you for your review.

Features that would allow users to bookmark all tabs to the left or to the right will likely appear in a future version of this extension.

Good Extension - could be improved Rated 3 out of 5 stars

This is a good extension, but it could be improved. In Tab Utilities, when you bookmark all, it automatically puts in the date like this extension. But, it also lets you CHOOSE the bookmark folder you want to put it in.

In addition to the 3 default folders this extension now offers for bookmarking all your tabs, you should also put in a drop-down list that allows you to choose which folder to put the bookmarks in.

Even better would be like Tab Utilities had, where you click on this and it remembers the last 5 folders you put bookmarks in, and has an additional one called choose which if you click on it, it opens a menu of your bookmarks and let's you navigate to the one you want to use.

Keep up the good work

Thank You

Thank you for your review.

I have considered adding a feature that would allow users to choose the bookmark folder in which bookmarks are to be saved. That feature may appear in the next version of this add-on.

Good addon, but here are a few requests Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It is a great addon. But it can be made into an indispensable addon if you implement some or all of the these little suggestions below. Really! The sky is the limit for this addon.

Ideas:
1. I, and I am sure many people, would like it a lot if you provide us two buttons to bookmark all tabs with and without a dialog.
2. If you include a function to bookmark all tabs to the right or left, it'd be great to use your addon with Tab Mix plus or Tab Utilities. [No other addon does this at the moment]
3. Alternatively, as another commentator ha suggested, you could allow us to bookmark all tabs just within a single group. I am glad that you are actively considering doing this.
4. Can you allow us to bookmark all tabs by the domain. Like if you are on the economist.com when you press a button, it bookmarks all open tabs from the economist.com domain in a folder titled "Economist.com 30th January 2012" or somesuch
[Again, no other addon does this at the moment]

Thank You

Poor Rated 1 out of 5 stars

It doesn't save the current tabset, rather it saves all open tabs. It does not prompt you for a folder name or assign something useful, like the tab group name. "Enable Bookmark All Tabs" does it properly.

This add-on does allow users to assign names to the bookmark folders that this add-on creates.

I should also mention that this add-on is intended to allow users to easily bookmark all open tabs. There is currently no feature to bookmark tabs within tab groups. However, that feature has been requested, and I have considered adding it.

Thanks,

J.K.

Just the ticket :) Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Simple and works perfectly, thanks :) Have wanted this feature for ages. Using on firefox 16.0.1

Can easily name the bookmark folder the tabs are saved under, though can't add automatically to a current folder, but then its easy to drag and drop once saved.

FIVE STARS IF User Can Choose Add To Folder! Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Using Bookmark Current Tab Set with Tab Mix Plus is an awesome productivity set! I always end up opening so many tabs with web surfing that Tab Mix Plus is one of the first extensions I add to Firefox. Firefox is my Mac browser of choice because I can use Tab Mix Plus and many other add-ons. Now, Bookmark Current Tabs has become another highly favoured extra. If the vendor would ALLOW USERS TO CHOOSE THE FOLDER TO WHICH TABS ARE ADDED, Bookmark Current Tabs would garner 5 Stars!!!

Thank You

Thank you for the suggestion and for the positive review. I have considered adding a feature that would allow users to save bookmarks to a folder to which they want them to be saved. This feature may appear in a future version of this extension.

I hope it can sore to specify boorkmark toolbar\<subdir>

Thank you for your review.

Through the "Bookmark Current Tab Set..." option, users can save bookmark folders to the bookmarks toolbar. However, I may include an option to allow users to save bookmark folders there by default.

It let's me bookmark all the tabs I currently have open. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I don't know why this feature isn't in Firefox 4, or is impossible to find if it is there somewhere, but it has always been an option in the bookmarks menu of Firefox for as far back as I can remember (and I remember using Firefox since about 1.5). Anyways it works, I'm happy that I can bookmark all tabs again instead of going through tab by tab and bookmarking each one individually. A possible improvement would be letting you pick which sub folder within the bookmarks menu you wanted to put the new bookmarks in. Currently you can choose between bookmarks menu, bookmarks toolbar or unsorted bookmarks. By default it names the tab group with the date and time but you can type in whatever you want to call it so that's not an issue contrary to what another reviewer wrote.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.2.3).

Thank You

I would like to thank you for your positive review and for your suggestion. The feature to allow users to create bookmark folders within subfolders is one that I might add in a future version of this extension.

I would also like to mention that in Firefox 4, users can choose to bookmark all tabs after right-clicking on a tab.

I used this practically every day on Firefox 3 - 3.6 without any problems but no option shows up for "bookmark the current tab set" in the bookmark section of Firefox 4 (Windows). Is the option located someplace else in 4 because I sure haven't been able to find it.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.2.3).

First, I would like to mention that it is good to know that you find this add-on useful.

However, I have found that the menu options that this add-on adds to the browser do appear in the Bookmarks menu in Firefox 4. I have not received any reports from any other users of this add-on having this difficulty. However, I will look into this to determine what could cause this to happen.

too basic Rated 2 out of 5 stars

good idea... unfortunately, very lacking in features/options that should be there right off the bat. for instance, the ability to define a default folder to save in for quick save... what if i don't want it in the Bookmarks Menu?... say I would like it under "Bookmarks Menu->Saved Tab Sessions->(custom date/time)"?.... Also, what about the choice to hide/show options --- if I pre-defined the place I want my sessions saved, there's no need for the "Bookmark current tab set...", so I would like the choice to hide that menu entry possibly. I already have a "Bookmark all tabs..." from either native Firefox, or another extension, so I have now nearly 3 of the same thing... if the "Bookmark all tabs..." is built into Firefox, then that is nearly more functional by the simple fact that I can choose any folder to save the tabs in, and if I manually type the date/time (which is what I've been doing). Just needs more features or at least more customization... I can already do this basically (+1 step) without an addon. don't mean to be so harsh, but heed that advice, and more people will use your addon. Customization is key. Not trying to bash your work or be so negative, just some constructive criticism. You can view it as I'm saying your addon has unfulfilled potential, and all of these complaints I listed could be easily fixed. I could think of at least 5 more (useful) things you could add by just thinking for about 30 seconds.. surely you can come up with some. I'll keep an eye on your addon to maybe use in the future... you might have already planned to add all these features, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.2.2).

Thank You

Hello, and thank you for your feedback.

I understand that this extension is very simple and basic. It is intended to simply add the date and time to folder names so that it will not be necessary for users to manually enter this information. I understand that there are features and options that could be added to it. Whether or not these features and options are added depends on how much demand there is for addition of them.

I actually considered giving users the option to set a default location to which folders are to be added. I have also considered including the option to create folders within other folders. However, I had not found that there was demand for these features to be added. Now that I know that this demand exists, it is much more probable that a future version of this extension will have these features.

It does seem to work v.well, but could you stop it adding the time zone as well as the time it was added - just the current time would be great. If it did that, it would pretty much be the same as the add-on you based this on and it'd be perfect. Oh, btw, the keyboard shortcut keys are the same as one of the key combos for all-in-one sidebar ..minor annoyance for those who use that. 9.8/10 :)

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.1.0).

Thank You for the Suggestions

In the next version of this extension, I can have it modified so that the time zone will not be added to the names of folders it creates. In fact, I was already planning on modifying the extension so that only information that users would want would be included in names of folders created by the extension. The only reason the time zone is included now is because this version of the extension was one that I quickly wrote only for myself. As I have mentioned before, improvements will be made to this extension.

I understand that this extension's keyboard shortcuts may be the same as those that other extensions have. I have considered modifying them, although I am not sure how I should change them. If you have any suggestions, I would like to know what they are. And I appreciate this feedback. It is exactly that kind of feedback that I have wanted to receive from users of this extension.
