Works too good Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Do not know if this is by design but this extension removes the settings.sol file basically removing any customized security settings I have made using the Macromedia Settings Panel.
After this extension runs on Fx start I will need to access the Macromedia Settings Panel to reset everything. Add an option not to delete this file please.
There already exists an option to disable the deletion of settings.sol. Simply uncheck the 'Auto-delete default cookie on start' item in BetterPrivacy's options dialog.
Attention! There seems to be a common misunderstanding:
Flash does NOT use 'settings.sol' to store any of the security settings you set via Flash's interface. As the Flash settings interface is used for both, the global settings (like sound and camera settings) and the site-specific settings (like access restrictions and local storage), those settings actually will be stored in 2 different flash cookies: The global settings (sound and camera only) are stored settings.sol, whereas the security related site-specific settings are stored in the site's flash cookie itself. So Flash never allows to define global security settings. However, you can define security settings for every single domain, but if you really choose to do so, you must allow ALL flash cookies to be stored. At least you must allow to keep those ones where you have defined security settings.
