- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13524479, a month agoLike most of those so called images downloader, "Batch Image Downloader" can only download the thumbnails, not the actual images that are 1 click away.
Totally useless. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14753959, 10 months ago

- Rated 2 out of 5by ireant, 2 years agoAlthough it works, it is not easy to use. Perhaps with study it can be used, but I found it puts a stranglehold on my computer resources. Thus, I will look for a different app.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Maira_V, 2 years agoThis is the best image downloader I've found and I've tried everything that works on Firefox. There are some extensions which won't load though like png from certain sites. Other than that, it's perfect.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Harpalus, 2 years agoThis would be perfect if:
- Choosing the location of the downloads is easier or if it worked, I just don't understand why is it so difficult and complicated.
- Naming download images... I cannot figure out if I can pick a default naming pattern that always works like that, it is completely pointless if I have to type it in EACH AND EVERY TIME
- When I click on the extension icon, it IMMEDIATELY switches to the download the CURRENT tab, and in the context menu gives me the more varied options of picking "Tabs to the right" or "Current Tab" or whatever. - Rated 3 out of 5by Miki, 2 years ago

- Rated 4 out of 5by eUROs, 2 years agoWOW! WOW! Finally this is one of the Best extensions for downloading Images from a Tab. It has all the features I was searching for in other similar extensions, such as the "Bulk Image Downloader (BID)" and the "Image Downloader by Karl". I like the UI of the "Batch Image Downloader", BUT The only little problem I noticed is that It gives me extra images that are not in the tab page and I can not choose my Own download Folder to save the images. It downloads them directly to the default download of the disc C: ... It would be better to choose a different Folder. I have downloaded the 22 images from this Link: (https://xenofontos.com/portfolio-item/east-residence/). Very good Job Guys!

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13939444, 3 years agoMan, I just can't figure out how to get this to download anything. I click back and forth between several complicated pages of options, hit the download button, and it just brings me to another page of options. I don't know how to actually download and I think I've spent enough time trying to figure it out.

posted 3 years agoTheir is a youtube link on the addon page, if the addon doesn't behave like it should, maybe it's a bug, you can report and I will be happy to fix it, putting bad review like that doesn't help

The only annoying bug I encountered was that some images didn't respect the frame view settings. Even though all of them were similarly sized, few would still render at a bigger (meaning out of the screen) proportion. Readjusting the frame size fixed it though.
Love the rich options and the status views. You really have a knack about UX composition. If you have some kind of github/gitlab/bitbucket issue system, do reply with it. Communicating over email isn't really that efficient. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15197598, 3 years agoa really usefull addon ! I really recommend it !

I used this wonderful add-on on a FF version older than 57(after which, basically our experience in FF became more or less painful).
It gets the job done! How? Let me tell you. Well, with a bit of help from another wonderful good old FF extension called Flashgot(it seems that Mozilla removed this extension from their add-on website, like it is the case with many extensions that could not be ported to those damn webextensions).
So, here are the steps:
0.make sure you have set in the Image Downloader preferences the Deep Scan(extremely IMPORTANT feature that can pick original size images that are behind thumbnails{kind of you see a thumbnail image that is actually a webpage that contains a link to the original image}) and chosed a minimum width(height) of images from hyperlinks{I have chosen 500}
1.Click Image Downloader button, then click Current Tab
2.The extension is very helpful showing you the resolution of the picked images(and a direct link to the original image), so you can select with left click every image you want. After that you click on "Save to Dash board" (it is a button on the right top corner. (Save to folder did not worked for me at all, but even if it did, considering the limitations that Mozilla imposed(the fact that add-ons can only download under Downloads folder, and cannot let the user select the desired location), would have been for nothing.
3.Click Image Downloader button, then click "Dashboard". In the page that opens, right click then FlashGot All, then you can select the desired location download the images.
P.S. Just a thought for the developer: if you could somehow send the selected links from the ImgDwnldr_Menu, to another downloader(another extension or program outside of FF) which for sure let us select the download location !?

Good Idea, I'm gonna try to see what I can do, for now I think I can easily add a simple button to copy all links to the clipboard - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 6867318, 4 years agoThis extension is basically a waste of time. Far too complex. For practical purposes, if you need to batch download a bunch of pictures, you must first select the ones you want and have them opened in tabs to the right, then invoke Downloader and chose the pix to the right. Or, you can just have Downloader open all links on the current page and it then opens with every link presented, then you must go through, if all are selected (noted by a yellow line around the pix) deselect them all, one click. then go and select each image you want downloaded. Ain't got time for this kind of s$&t.
there used to be available a simple batch downloader where you selected the images on the site of your choice. then right clicked on the page and you could tell it to download the selected images. Simple. that is what I want. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13532498, 4 years agoВсё супер, за исключением того, что нельзя указать целиком путь для сохранения, только имя папки в папке загрузок по умолчанию.
Everything is super, except that you can not specify the entire path to save, just the folder name in the default downloads folder. And if in the FireFox settings it is "Every time to issue a request," the request is issued for each file, which negates the very idea of batch download. I hope that it will be possible to specify the entire save path - then this will be the ideal extension. In the rest it's just gorgeous, thanks to the great author!Developer response

Yes I understand you I would like to be able to specify the entire path to save too, but this isn't possible, firefox made this restriction for security and privacy reason to protect the user.
The only thing I can do to get closer is to ask the user where to download each file 1 by 1 but as you said we lose the idea of batch download
Большое спасибо за отзывы!
Да, я понимаю, что я хотел бы также указать весь путь для сохранения, но это невозможно, Firefox сделал это ограничение для защиты и конфиденциальности, чтобы защитить пользователя.
Единственное, что я могу сделать, чтобы приблизиться, - спросить пользователя, где скачать каждый файл 1 на 1, но, как вы сказали, мы потеряли идею пакетной загрузки - Rated 4 out of 5by Daniel Wu, 4 years agoThe add-on works as intended, but I realy hope that you can make us pick a location where to save the selected images, which is independent from Firefox's setting. The way it is tied to Firefox's download setting makes it hard to use. Also more costumization for file renaming, such as picking the number of digits, padding them with zeroes.

posted 4 years agoThanks a lot, for the review and the good suggestions !
However about picking a specific location outside of Firefox's setting I would be glad to have it too, but this isn't possible (sadly),
Firefox made this restriction for security and privacy reason, to protect the user from malicious addon
