cosmetic bug on mac Rated 4 out of 5 stars

addon works well, does what it says...

there's a cosmetic bug on the mac, when you open a new window, a line of many icons is shown in the toolbar for a moment. especially if you're re-opening a session with several windows, all these strange icons looks a bit weird and ugly, and makes you wonder if something is broken with your browser... it took me a while to figure out it was the fault of "back to close".

other than that, great addon! but you do need to use it in conjunction with some quick way to "undo close tab", because it happens a lot accidentally.

however, i disagree with the suggestion to make "forward" do "undo close tab" if there's no forward history, that's not a good idea. first, a lot of the time the window you get back to after closing a tab will already have a forward history. so, sometimes it will do what you want (undo close) and sometimes not (go forward instead). it's not a reliable way of handling the situation, and would lead to more frustration.

also, it creates another situation for accidentally doing something you don't want. that is, if your window has no forward history and you try to go forward, you will accidentally re-open the last closed tab. then if you try to close it again by going back, but it has a back history, it won't work either. i imagine it also leading to more frustration...

i think when a tab has no back history, closing it makes a lot of sense. but when a tab has no forward history, reopening the last closed tab doesn't make so much sense.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.10.1-signed).
