Adware Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Read all the other 1-star reviews that mention superfish and adware. At the risk of turning this review into a giant wall of text, I will comment on the "About this addon" text directly:

"This extension also integrate [sic] some additional features such as "Discover Similar Sites" and "Price Comparison While You Shop." These are value-added features, and definitely are not "Malware" or "Adware" as some may mistakenly believe. "

This paragraph directly contradicts the last part:

"We are committed to being transparent with and respectful of our users, and would really appreciate if users who are concerned about adware or malware to take the above into consideration. "

I have taken the above into consideration. The developers are not being respectful to their users because:
(a) They are shoving adware into the product and, more importantly
(b) They assume the users are idiots and will accept this practice because the developers just posted on the addon page that these "value-added features" aren't adware.

"Adware" is a term used to describe software that displays advertisements that are usually (but not necessarily) unwanted.

Saying that adware isn't adware only goes to show how little respect they have for their users and saying that they respect their users, because they're announcing the inclusion of this "feature", only makes it worse.

"Please also note that these features are disabled by default unless you enable them. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS EXTENSION IF YOU STILL DON'T FEEL COMFORTABLE."

I wont use this extension because I don't feel comfortable. I thank the developers for being so kind as to present me with this option. The fact that I will now stop using this addon, as well as the fact that the developers are making people aware of the inclusion of these so called features, does not limit my right to review this piece of software based on my experience with it.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.3.7).
