first of all, thanks for your rating. I'm sorry that you are apparently having a problem with the visuals of the emojis.

Please note that the last update of this emoji picker is years ago, so I doubt it is a problem with the add-on itself. If you do use Windows, however, it may have been that an update of your operation system there did result in the new emojis you see. Please note that this add-on has no influence on the emoji style your operation system ships and shows. This is solely a decision of Microsoft in this case.

However, here is the good news: You can solve that by choosing a different emoji style in the extension. To do that, right-click on the icon of the extension, choose “Manage extension” → “Settings” and choose a different icon set next to “emoji design”.
By default, this extension uses your system emojis, but there are different styles available and they have a different design and they all look quite great.
