already use about;config for the 'middleclick paste' function..and also because i don't really want/need? the 'select=copy' function.(annoy people with a habit of doubleclicking randomly..)

But! clipping stuff Alot from sites makes it tiring to switch to keyboard to do the (double) 'enterspace'. if you somehow, somewhat add an option(checkbox: 'autocopy with (double) enterspace'?) for That i Will use this extension no questions asked. =D

liking the idea of blink on copy feature
keep up the good work!

No More Ctrl+C Rated 4 out of 5 stars

yeah, now I use this extension and I don't need to press ctrl+c to copy text..

I like this, very useful for someone who need a faster way to copy-paste when browsing internet..

simple extension, but very useful, yeah, that is AutoCopy 2!

Essential Productivity Extension Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It works in Thuderbird once again, it works perfectly in Firefox, AND there's a new version of Copy Plain Text that works?! Be still my heart. Developer, you are a hero among men, a god amongst mortals, a beautiful, gracious, and talented soul.

I've been using Firefox for years; on any new system, Auto Copy and Copy Plain text were always first two extensions I installed. Lately, the "fixed" versions for Firefox did not work so well, and have not worked at in Thunderbird for ages (years?). This version brings back the Auto Copy I knew and loved from Firefox 2.something!

Auto Copy is a huge time saver: select text, alt-tab to another window and ctrl-v. Auto Copy eliminates one hand movement and two finger movements vs using ctrl-c, and over time that adds up to significant time savings if one needs to work quickly.

Thanks for your review. Copy Plain Text 2 is specially designed for works with AutoCopy 2. See here: https://addons.mozilla.org/pl/firefox/addon/copy-plain-text-2/?src=ss

Excellent! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is an update to a previous review on January 1, 2012. I had stated that it was not working when trying to copy bulleted text (in FF 9). It is now working in FF10 for me. Great add-on!

FANTASTIC addon.

Please add "cut" to the pop-up menu when highlighting characters ... sentence. So I don't have to do cntl-x instead.

Needs one option! Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This add-on is good but one thing is missing.
For example, if you have something you want to paste in a text box, and by clicking the text box it automatically selects the hole text there, then you lose the previous text you wanted to paste in that box.
So there should be an option for disabling the effect when clicking on text boxes.
It's all that is missing in this otherwise perfect add-on.

Works well. But I have to take away one star, as it lack the clipping memory of the original. With that, you could copy several clippings into the clipboard, then paste them elsewhere, in whatever order you wanted. That saved having to continually switch between source and target for each clip.

Thanks for your review. Please try newest version. Clipboard work OK.

Dear Leszek

Truly useful and beautifully implemented add-on. I especially like that it can be combined with Copy Plain Text 2 functionality at will!

There is one more feature that I wish your extension had, which is available separately as CopyFixer (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/my-copyfixer/). I would love to be able to use this functionality together with AutoCopy 2, however, having an option to append the source URL to the clipboard contents (automatically on selection). As well as the templating/formatting possible in My CopyFixer.

Would it be possible to add the CopyFixer functionality to AutoCopy 2, perhaps in a similar manner to the way you added Copy Plain Text 2 functionality? That'd be awesome.

Ta,
K.

Thanks for review, ratting and suggestions. Now I'm working on fix problems with clipboard - will be fixed soon. Next I plan add possibility move icon from addon bar to any toolbar, so users which not like addon bar will can AutoCopy icon move eg. to toolbar. Next I add feature copy plain text to AutoCopy, and next fully integrate Copy Plain Text 2 with AhtoCopy 2.

First Rate! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Just want to add my voice to what others have said... This is a first rate add-on! It works as advertised, and does it quickly and simply.

I would like to verify what one other reviewer mentioned, that is that the "Clipboard Contents" menu of the context menu isn't working properly. It will display a clipboard stack, but you are unable to copy items from it. This is a minor issue that doesn't at all detract from the usefulness of the add-on.

I have a SINGLE suggestion/complaint... As this is not from the same author, nor does it work exactly the same as, the original Auto Copy, I suggest that you change the icon for the add-on. It made me think that this was a direct follow-on from the original version. (Not to mention the fact that the original icon was weird and confusing! After many years, I'm still unable to figure out what it's suppose to be. :-) )

Finally, to add to what another reviewer mentioned, the add-on doesn't *always* work with bulleted text. I say "always" because, in fact, it DOES sometimes work! (I'll email this.) Again, something that will no doubt be fixed soon.

Thanks so much for this great addition!

This AutoCopy and in this form AutoCopy 2 are some of my favorite extensions. Unfortunately the menu to allow selecting of previous "Clipboards contents" no longer actually selects and pastes them-- rather the last *manually* copied text get inserted on the subsequent paste action.

Thanks for your ratting and catch. Now we are working for resolve this issue.

Thanks for updating this add-on.
However I have one request. Now icon can only be put in Add-on bar and I have to use UI Fixer to to move it near Awesome/search bar. Could you let move it by itself? Thanks.
