This extension uses the internal discard method to suspend inactive tabs after a user-defined period of time (default is 10 seconds). Since the native method is used, tabs will be restored upon a restart and they use practically no memory at all.
Note that this extension only works on FF >= 59.
There are a few options to customize when a tab gets discarded:
1. Pinned tabs
2. When there is a media source playing inside a tab
3. When the computer is connected to a power source
4. When there is a form element (with changes) that has not yet been submitted.
How does it work:
1. Left-click on the toolbar button to open the options page
2. Right-click on the toolbar button to discard tabs on either active window, all windows, non-active windows.
Notes:
1. To prevent automatic tab discard, set period to zero
