I'll give this a three stars review for the idea of it only.

WARNING: Unfortunately, as others have reported as well, this extension has a major impact on browsing speed and makes regular use virtually impossible!

Some years ago, way back when Firefox 3.x was current, I tried to use a similar extension called Breadcrumbs and it had the very same issue.

I guess, that you're using an sqlite database to store a user's browsing history. Larger single-file databases like this are a well-known source of performance problems.

I would suggest the creation of a native (windows) application to get rid of the performance problems. With proper database and indexing features available in this way, you could create much lighter extensions to the major browsers that would do little more than report everything to the native application, request any data from a user search and generate no performance loss in the browser itself.

At least that's the way I would do it, because in its current form, archify has just been removed from my browser again.
