Hilarious! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I don't use Myspace and I don't think I've ever accidentally ended up on a Myspace page. Yet, I dislike Myspace so much that I think I'll download this just for kicks!

Absolutely wonderful! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I HATE sites that redirect you to Myspace without telling you, only to find your screen filled with oversize images, auto-play music (which is always terrible sounding) and every piece of text has to flash or scroll. They can stay on the internet, next to everyone who uses Geocities and Lycos; I'll install this add-on and never have to suffer from their stupidity again.

I can't tell you how many times I've accidentally ended up on Myspace! It seems like every day I follow some link, or misspell some URL, and end up on this awful page. But no more am I a victim to the spew of crappy garage bands, underage cam whores, and extraordinary amounts of useless flash! Thank you so much! You're add-on has truly improved my web surfing experience!

People has time to lose Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I think sometime people has lot of time to loose. This piece of nothing is one of the most useless thing after the "hello world!".
I've used MySpace since long time, never had spyware or malware, I met lot of artists there, musicians expecially and we shared knowledges, remix kits, free legal songs, samples and friendship. We organized meetings and live gigs... I think it is way better than other bla bla bla useless social networks.
And about bad profile pages, this problem regard only who did them and his bad taste.

Don't add this addon, remember that each addon you add uses your PC memory and slows down your Firefox.

I am not on myspace.com Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This add-on is particularly easy to use; there are no fiddly options to set and its simple interface belies a wealth of feature.

You guys are hilarious. Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I was reading all the reviews (I like to be clued up before I download anything) and I think it's the most entertaining bunch of comments I've read all day. I'd love to install it, but of course, it's only for Version II - hilarious, really, because I literally only just installed Version 3.0. C'est la vie, eh? However, judging by the (one) screenie and the reviews, I'm guessing that if I did have it, I'd give it a four. (My fives are very, very sparing.)

I agree, but.. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

ain't it so much easier to edit your c:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file, and adding a simple line such as
127.0.0.1 www.myspace.com

I repeat: Myspace SUCKS. Piero

I like question marks? I should put one here? People like to put them everywhere and that is stupid? Just as stupid as this Add-on?

Although it's funny as hell!(?)

Thank god somebody made this. I try to make a habit of checking links before I click on them, but sometimes I don't. That's when I wind up on myspace and suddenly have my ears and eyes raped by terrible music and shitty layouts.

YOU MUST make this Firefox 3 compatible. Firefox 3 tells me this is for an older version. Can I use it anyway? Think I will try. Definitely a necessary addon.

"stupid","cowards"? Rated 5 out of 5 stars

How dare you use these words?
Damn... look those idiot templates you use in your personal pages? How do you name that?
There is nothing so fantastic about those PoS...
On the contrary... MICROSOFT MADE

lol how stupid. What's the point. Are people that don't use myspace so stupid that they have to install an addon that tells them if they have accidently visited the site? What is even so bad about myspace? Nothing. not even malware vvvv.

"I mean really - can someone point me to what is so bothersome about MySpace BESIDES malware?"

What is so bothersome? How about the burn in my eyes followed by loss of eyesight caused by horrible backgrounds, completely senseless presentation of page with pointless, flashy images saying "THANKS FOR ADD" all around.
To make things worse, there is a random, utterly bad music coming out from the page, even though you never even pressed a "play button" and you have a game/music/ventrilo/skype playing in background.

So, this program works well. A huge back button is what is needed the MOST in situation when you stumble upon the 10th floor of hell.

If you're OFFENDED by MySpace, this extension will keep you from going there, and will give you a big pat on the back for doing the "right thing".

It won't protect you from malware hosted on MySpace. I don't think this is a bug because the developer and users show no interest in this kind of security.

re:
Ratings are supposed to be for how well you think an extension works (or doesn't work), not about your opinion of the concept of what it does... (from another comment)

If this would be applied to those who seem to think blocking MySpace is the greatest thing since fire, the comments would be much more helpful to someone trying to decide if this plugin does something useful for them or not.

Does it work as well as putting MySpace in your hosts file, or blocking it at your router? I don't know - I'm not going to test MySpace THAT thoroughly for malware. Does it block XSS references to MySpace from other sites? Does it allow you to extract needed information from the MySpace site without being exposed to whatever is so dangerous?

As far as improvements, the two major ones are 1. DEFINE YOUR GOALS (does the one-sentence summary on the plugin page define the spec completely?), and 2. MAKE IT UNIVERSAL. Others dislike AOL, Yahoo, CNN, Fox, M$, the RBN, et.al as much or more than MySpace (I mean really - can someone point me to what is so bothersome about MySpace BESIDES malware?)

Worked great in ff2, please make for version three? And agreed, ability to filter facebook and other sites would be wonderful. Thank you for the time you put in on the second either way though ^^

I'd love to see it made for Firefox 3.0, since I don't like myspace =/

Maybe add in imeem and other sites like facebook and stuff.
