Why was AMF Explorer created?

I've been wanting to build this add-on since the nsITraceableChannel was added to Mozilla in late 2008. The big hurdle since then has been finding the time to port the AMF deserializer classes from Adobe's BlazeDS to JavaScript. Due to a few major snow storms in the Northeastern United States in early 2010, I actually found the time work on this add-on.

What's next for AMF Explorer

I plan to provide better formatting of AMF messages in Firebug's Net panel, as well as a top level Firebug panel to more easily view AMF messages as they are sent and received.
